I really appreciate how you breakdown the process and make it easy to understand. I have learned so much from you. Thank you so much! Peace and Love ☮️❤
I can’t believe how informative and helpful your videos are Nina. I am so appreciative. I honestly don’t recall anyone ever talking about under painting or even about don’t count any colour out & your so right I used to get so confused because like you said some say colour and neutral but when you swatch it looks very different. I find it very overwhelming but your logic makes so much sense. Thank you Nina for sharing everything with us all !! ❤
I just love your technique of having a lighter concelear with a darker foundation, It just helped my foundation become less tan and more light during those winter time when your looking pale😅 thank you so much ❤
Thank you for making this video. I've watched so many make up tutorial videos. This is the one that explained how to choose concealer in a manner that's easy for me to understand and remember. ❤
Hi Nina. Once again, thank you so much for your great tutorial. You have made life easier. Iove the way you break everything down and your explanations. Later today, I'm going to put all my concealers on the top of my hand and see the difference. Love you, Nina. You're the best.
Wow great example of how to eliminate the less desirable colors! Would love to see the same with the darks. All in all was a very good tutorial about how to pick concealer colors. Thank you!
This is really educational beauty! Glad I've joined the movement. ❤️ I've learned so much on this video. This will definitely help me, when I will start practicing my full face makeup. Thank you! 😃
Hey Nina, new to your channel and pleased to say I have received lots of answers in such a short time pertaining to the dos and don't .. thank you so much for allowing us to go to beauty school 💗
Thanks for your wonderful videos, you've already taught me so much though I only recently started watching your videos. But I started using lots of your tips on doing make up. Keep up your great work!
Hi Nina, thank you so much for another amazing video. You really explain so well, for once I honestly know how to choose my concealer. Hope you are well. Have an awesome day 🌷🌷🌷🌷
thanka for this lovely video Nina. I use NC 42 mac foundation ... So as per this video I should buy a lighter shade concealer to cover my under dark circle ? right ?
I watched the video. If you are trying to correct under eye circles, should you choose a lighter shade that has the same undertones or the opposite undertone? For example, I am a warm undertone and in the past both both cool and warm undertone concealer has been recommended (in a shade lighter) so I am totally confused as to go warm or cool in a shade lighter/brighter. thanks
I would stick to your undertone to be safe but you can cross undertones. So for example, even though my undertone is warm/olive I sometimes use an olive neutral shade. This way, the undertone of olive is the same but it’s not overly warm…more on the neutral side but not cool or pink. Hope that makes sense!
Oh my goodness!! I think Google can read my thoughts now lol I am trying to achieve the side you prefer but I end up with the other side. I was being too safe with how dark/light I was going with the concealers! My whole routine was safe before I found you!
Hi Nina, love your videos. Just have a question. Is there a possibility to still underpaint with tarte concealer? And use your closer to skin tone foundation. That might give darker finish from my understanding?
I'm honored to be first here, but you are always first in my book!!! As a mature skin follower, which concealer do you suggest for crepey, dry, dark under eyes? The 2 you mentioned don't work for me, as they accentuate the problems. if it helps, you are my shade twin give or take. I have 4 million concealers in the graveyard I currently have. Thanks for another great topic!! I struggle on this so it's helpful!! XXOO
Have you tried Kosas? I have fairly dark under eye and dry skin. So I usually prep my skin well, hydrating the under eye then wear a color corrector and then apply the concealer. And never bake or use too much powder then it accentuates my creases. Depending on the day, I use mostly use Kosas, Nars soft matte, Uoma or tarte shape tape. I've also recently loved using L'oreal Infallible concealer.
@@DreamerInExile16 Thanks so much for these suggestions. I have tried Kosas-it is nice but I picked up the wrong color! Hence, I needed Nina's video! I've only tried Nars radiant creamy concealer, not the matte one. I will check out the others you suggested! :)
@@NinaUbhi1 can't wait to try Hourglass, will have to order it. Love, love your suggestions. It's helped a great deal to understand shade matching and your technique. I used to get daunted about doing my eyes, but now I enjoy experimenting. Thank you, Nina again 🙏🏽❤🙏🏽❤
Thank you so much for this! I’m really struggling with concealer and this really helps! What do you recommend for the dark under eye troughs that come with age? I’ve tried numerous correctors with zero luck. And on 60 yo skin that’s not awful, is layering corrector, concealer AND foundation a bit much? Suggestions?
loved your video! super easy to understand. i do have one question, though: what amount of brightness should i be aiming for if i plan to conceal dark circles/blemishes WITHOUT using foundation at all?
The video I was looking for! Concealer has always been a nightmare because of my white to light olive complexion, depending on the season and time of year. The most difficult task was to find an appropriate concealer and foundation. Drug store cosmetics have no testers for many of their pricey concealer and foundation products. I refuse to purchase concealers without performing a color test as you demonsteate above.
Thank you for another great video. I am currently shopping for new concealer. I guess I’ve been using wrong colors all this time😬 may I ask which brand of concealer you think is best for dried under eyes?
Thank you so much Nina but i have a question i have melasma around my mouth unfortunately i got it when i was pregnant and it never went away. For my concealer would i use a lighter color or try to find a concealer close to my skin tone . I really love your techniques and i want to try the under painting technique but would i need to cover the melasma first with a different color ? Any advice i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
Glad you enjoy the videos! I would try it with just concealer (Tarte shape tape), so like I’ve done in the video, it shouldn’t still show through but I don’t know how obvious your melasma is but hope this helps 😊
New Orleans We always look forward to your videos. They're always very informative. I purchased the Chanel foundation and concealer. The concealer matches exactly as my skin tone that I can use it for my foundation. I was disappointed especially with it being expensive. I like to hv a concealer that will brighten my face a little. I really don't want to waste it. Any suggestions?
Thanks for watching! Maybe use the concealer as a foundation but just where you need it on days you don’t want full base - alternatively if you have a much lighter concealer hanging around then add a small amount to it to brighten it
