Great video, as always, Pat. I'm going to have to invest in some of those beads and start rigging them above my hook for cats. I used to use some of those steelhead little corky bobber things and the white/red glow ones seemed to help - especially when night fishing, but I got out of the habit of doing that. These beads look like they help attract the kitties. I need to get out for a cat trip soon. Been too long.
Thanks. Glad you liked it. I used to use the corkies too. But the last few years I have been making and using a lot of my own designs of FLIGS...floating jigs. I have several videos oh here if you look for them. But the bling beads work for all species. Got lots of pictures of different species with beads hanging out of their mouths. Now go fishing. No excuses.
Thanks. I am working on a two part video on CATFISH...HOOK TO PAN. The first part will be about how to catch them. The second will be what to do with them after you catch them. There will be lots of catfish porn and some good recipes at the end.
Most species have "preferred" temperature ranges. Carp and catfish both spawn after water temps get about 65. And both are most active when temps stay in the 70s, But cats tend to become more nocturnal and less active when the water gets above 80 degrees. That is when you gotta feed the mosquitoes after dark if you wanna catch more and bigger catfish.

Fun time on the water. Do the cats and carp like high water temperature more than other species present?
