  • I have had my Numatic George wetvac or extractor for over 2 years now, and I find it a really useful tool to have. It can be regarded as an All in 1, or a 3 in 1 as it does hoover, extraction and Hard floor cleaning too. It comes with many extras as outlined in the video to make detailing a little easier. What extractor or wetvac do you use? do you recommend other types of extraction device? Let me know in the comments.

I have a 30 year old Bissell Butler extractor. It was intended for house carpets and used by my uncle for many years as part of a 2 unit system. He converted it originally to accept a smaller extraction head for car interiors. It had a 4 inch system the very same as your George but I converted it a few years ago to run a Vax Spotwash hose and head. Much better. Much shorter 3 inch wide compact unit for getting into small areas. No protruding connections underneath to foul with interior trim. The water feed is routed through the extraction hose eliminating any chance of damage to the small hose and also does not get caught in seat handles, etc. Even has a set of agitation bristles located just behind the pickup orifice that brush and flick the carpet fibres open as you draw back right before the extraction takes place. Depending on the degree of attention needed I sometimes instead use a Karcher SC5 steamer and Karcher WD3 wet vac afterwards. This system is really good for not over wetting interiors especially this time of year. Good honest impartial review Paddy.

Got my George about two years ago also here in the USA. These machines aren't real popular over here in the States but they work fantastic. Got mine after seeing The Car Cleaning Guru using his and boasting how well it worked and also the fact it was dual purpose. The George works great in both regular Vacuum mode or Extractor mode. VERY powerful suction on the machine in both modes and the fact it has a dual filter is great also. You don't get any dust flying into the air out of the machine like some vacuum's.

We have the standard Nu-Vac Heti vacuum cleaner and the motor went or though I thought, it was just the switch and that only cost ÂĢ30 to have mended I intend to get the George soon as we have a somewhat untrained dog and when you consider ÂĢ25 each time you rent a carpet cleaner it makes sense, I bought a VAX system that didn't last six months and they had no intention of honouring the warranty so that went in the bin, I do believe you can get extended hoses for the hoovers part.

For a dog, there are attachments you can buy which have rotating brush heads for the numatic range, I'm not sure how good they'd be but our household dyson has the rotator brush and is great for that stuff on carpets 👌

Good video and good all in one machine. I have used this machine for a while now and found it to be very good and easy to use. If you look online there are plenty of defoaming agents available which will help minimise the foaming.

Hi, would you be happy to have this as your main house hoover? I have limestone tiles throughout the house and think it would be great to clean these. Is it good on household carpets to clean a full room? I kinda like the thought of this doing everything I need in the house and detailing the car.
    Good video 😄

It's very good at everything but like the saying jack of all, master of none I'd say. It is a quality hoover but if just needing a hoover there's others out there not as expensive. As regards extraction, it is good but I've heard rave reviews on the likes of a karcher puzzi etc. Bissel from what I hear should be mainly for spot cleaning then. But overall, it's a great all in 1 space saver

Well Paddy, I’m in Waterford meself but how do I go about drying the seat’s in this weather? Was going to wait a few months but mad to do it. Don’t want any mould issues

Hi Kevin, what I've done in the past was just leave the car running with heaters on, could take a little over an hour but gets the job done. Not ideal but what else can you do! I'm open to options also! There are machines you can get that sit on the seats and dry them quicker but as not in the business, those can't be justified for me as of yet!!

Good man Paddy, yeah going to try that with the car running and full blast on the heaters. Thanks Paddy 👍
