      Honestly isn't this way better than having or being a professor? James is fine the way he is. He doesn't need to be validated by academia and if he ever is, i hope he doesn't take it seriously. Academic posturing and games ruin plenty of fine minds.

    " He be dancin' with the devil!" I'll never forget it. When these hit VHS, I had no idea of their order when it came to the Lon Chaney Jr. films, so I went off of pictures I remembered as a kid. Bad idea!!! Me and my buddy bring one home and before we know it, he's turning to me saying, " When do we leave Louisiana and get back to Egypt?" I lower my head and sheepishly say, " Soon... I hope."

    It would be interesting to see a film where Imhotep controls Karys. It could combine the sophistication of Imhotep with the brute strength of Karys, making a dynamic mummy duo.

    • @erubin100
      @erubin100 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would like that a lot. The Sommers films came close, with Imhotep having "lesser mummies" to serve him.

      There have been plenty of other versions of The Phantom of the Opera over the years though, including a remake by Universal. No one has ever remade the original Boris Karloff Mummy story.

    Huh… so The Mummy really was essentially a Proto-Slasher film. Imagine if the remake in the ‘90’s had stuck true to that, rather than becoming an Adventure film.

    A slasher mummy movie would be PERFECT right now. I've been begging for a new slasher movie. If it meant bringing the mummy back im all for it. Have him have a spear, able to break necks and backs. Would be nice to see and restart the dark universe the right way

    Hey James have you ever considered reviewing the literature that the classic horror films are based on? Like Bram Stokers original Dracula novel or Mary Shelly's Frankenstein? I never took you much for a reader but I bet you could make some good content off of the books.
