NOW THE MIND SET IS keeping it off for a conscientious 2-3yrs and changing my food intake to healthy & enjoyable. My Old habits of eating is now broken.....time to learn and teach myself good habits.

There was a book in the 80’s that helped me greatly. Jane Brody’s Good Food Book. Lost a ton of weight. Strayed off course , and got swept away with the low fat movement, and we all know the sugar that replaced the fat, and the problems that’s brought about. So here I am, back to basics, and a bit wiser!

Check the nutritional labels of rolled oats vs. quick (minute) oats--they are identical. The quick oats are just rolled thinner and cut smaller in order to cook quicker. Instant oats, in the little envelopes, are usually sweetened and have added flavors--they're a different story.

Interesting take on carbs and they keep you full longer. If I eat a whole grain sandwich with salad and a protein it will spike my insulin and make me hungry in a couple of hours. In fact I was a carboholic. Breads pasta rice even whole grain types make me hungrier than keto with intermittent fasting.
Huge difference for me. Maybe that’s because I probably need to do it longer and then when I eat carbs my insulin won’t spike as much. Very tricky indeed!!

Hopefully I will reach a point that my insulin resistance will improve and I can enjoy regular oatmeal instead of the milled flax and hemp seeds. which I am getting quite used to and may never go back to oatmeal from the no-oatmeal.

You need to educate yourself on high and low glycemic carbs. Rice, potatoes, bread are all high glycemic carbs higher sugar(glucose) content than table sugar. Yes combining them with protein gelps mitigate the blood sugar spike but never the less those kinds of carbs make your blood sugar like a yo yo not more of a big flatter curve, which promotes stable optimum blood sugar and insulin levels. Additionally high glycemic carbs promote fat storage because they spike insulin levels. High insulin levels tells the body to store fat and convert carbs to fat for storage. So unless you are doing a tremendous amount of exercise to exceed the 2000 calories of a normal healthy persons caloric intake. You are going to promote fat storage not fat burning. There is no way an obese person can eat those high glycemic carbs and loose weight, it is metabolically impossible. I know damn good and well you did not eat all this stuff to loose that weight.

ummm. none. which carb is essential to the proper human diet. The diet our ancestors digested naturally was pretty much meat sourced. apples were bitter, bananas were short and very seedy and bitter. Oranges were small.

Same video, slightly different topic. I wish there was a little more effort. Its always the same stock videos, photos and same clips of Lacey. I swear that clip at 2:55 is in EVERY video. Same with the video at 5:08 of her eating that darn egg sandwich and the one of her drinking the smoothie at 8:00. The videos need a little more variety! Some of the info is decent but the content is just repetitive 🤦🏽‍♀️

Hey Mari. Thanks for the feedback - I've been concerned about the same issue and too much repetition, but I also believe it takes people a few times from slightly different angles to learn the best so they can make positive change. This is not uncommon from what I've seen many others in this niche do. What other types of content would you like to see on this channel?
