Hi Mel! Happy New Year! Aiden Wells has some interesting tapestry patterns; also, Toni w/TL Yarn Crafts just posted a video tutorial for a tapestry/mosaic pattern that I found REALLY helpful. Aspen has a free chart for “hi” on their website to use for tapestry practice….im not sure if this idea would work down under, but on the yarn sites (ie Yarnspirations, Hobbii, Etc), there are free tapestry/mosaic/intarsia patterns, among soooo many other freeebies 😊 Love all of your ideas! Thank you so much for sharing all of your goals. You are gonna stay busy! I’m here for it ☺️🫶🏻 xx
Thank you sweet friend, so many great ideas! And I love all of those creators so thank you for reminding me to check them out for tapestries 😍 hope you're having a wonderful start to 2025 💗💗💗
I made a notion board for it a while ago! It was so good but since I don't use notion for anything else I forgot to update it, so I'm trying excel/Google sheets this time 😂
So many goals! Crochet tracking-wise, I've only got a notebook, where I have my stash written down and if I have an idea for some of it I write it next to it, cause I'll probably forget otherwise haha And every time I crochet something, on a new page I write the name (basically Horse, Otter, Jumper etc...), who I'm doing it for, the sizes and such if it's clothing, the repetition pattern, or the whole pattern if I follow an amigurumi pattern, if I freehand the pattern, I draw the rough shape out to figure out how to go about it, and try to write down how I did it. But well, it can get pretty messy haha, I should make a cleaner one once it's done, with a little strand of the yarn used and a pic perhaps, like a scrap book, gotta work on that idea ^^; My main goals for this new year, and to try to get into pattern-testing, so I gotta start an insta account, also thinking of getting into pattern translation, I might pm you about that at some point (no money involved), and perhaps start creating patterns, too. On smaller goals, continue working on some needle felting, try out tapestry crochet, and perhaps get a little back into cross-stitch and learn embroidery. Book-wise I don't set any goals as I mostly read japanese webnovels, which can be super long, and on-going, so can't really set goals there haha But I do wanna try to beat some of my physical comics backlog ^^ I guess I have just as many goals haha
