Hi Tom...great video. My 5220 have auto stop problem, the motor still running at the end of tape and the play button didn't pop up as it should be. All belts were replaced and I can not find "magnet/things/roll" like others tape have. So...how 5220 auto stop work or triggered that make the solenoid push back the play button to stand by position?
Thank you for the video. I have a Marantz 5000 cassette deck which is very similar to the 1810. I have two questions I hope you can help me with. The first is I changed the belts and idler tires and afterwords when I press the rewind switch it does not auto stop or pop back up when the tape has reached the end. The auto stop/pop up feature works for play and ff. Second question is do you know what is the replacement bulb for the record light?
Hello and thank you for your quick response. I think we completely missunderstood each other, I meant the device you used on the motor there, probably to get all the dirt off the copper. My hobby is cassette decks too ;) (although from the 80s and 90s) :) Best regards! Eric

We have the same problem mr.david !!! I was able to replace the belts like you did .. every time i put it on record its kindda sluggish .... hhmmmm SOSSSSS !!!!

It's a Dremel tool.. and it's a multi function wonder tool. It literally has a million uses. In this case, it is polishing/buffing.
