Thank you for your video! I've got the grinder recently as well and I've been very pleased with it. I think is impossible to beat at this price point and given that it can do pretty much every grind you would need. I haven't had the chance to use it for Turkish Coffee so far and your video is perfect timing for me to give it a try. Good to know that works without problems at 0.5 as well. I got scared the first time I used it as I had read "0.6" clicks and by mistake, I wanted to select 9 but selected 6. I saw now in your video that the minimum is 0.4 for the ESP and I sighed in relief. Thank you very much for your video!

Thank you for your kind) I think that 1zpresso q2 Air could do the work, but the jar size is a limitation (it has a plastic body, but the mechanism is solid metal). And some kingriner models possibly might do the same but I haven't used any of them yet.

@@wendstudio_coffee It is worth mentioning that the C3Esp can be get from Aliexpress while the 1zpresso and Kingriner aren't available for cheaper than you can find on the market. When the C3Esp is bought from local markets the price is comparable to the other two but I've got mine from Aliexpress, is original and the seller was amazing, everything worked out well apart from the longer waiting time for it to arrive. The price was only 56 euros for the C3Esp shipping included. It arrived in 18 days.

Kingrinder p models are now super "dumping" on Amazon. Other countries pay for the "free" shipping from PRC :)

@@wendstudio_coffeeHi! I am coming back with a question. Have you ever had problems with it rubbing after putting it back together? I disassembled mine for cleaning and I've put it back. Everything seems good, blocks to 0 but now it rubs at 0.5.2 and going down. At 6 it stops rubbing. Before it didn't rub till 4. Also the grind seems to be more uniform than before and seems to be a better performer overall but I find this issue strange. Thank you!

The burr is constructed with an assumption of vertical position of the grinder. To avoid this noise, you should hold the grinder vertically and rotate only the handle, not the body itself. This makes the pressure of coffee on the burr homogeneous and allows to decrease the amount of dust.

    • @wendstudio_coffee
      @wendstudio_coffee  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

No, it's just a rattling knob of the handle. Nothing to do with the grinding technique

You should try some of the Kingrinder grinders if you can, I got a K2 recently and it grinds for espresso in 38 seconds, so I'd imagine it wouldn't take much longer to grind for turkish coffee. Most of them have 48mm burrs. (only the k0 and k1 don't)

    Hello, Viacheslav!
Thanks for the great content as always! Special thanks for your osmotic flow technique demonstration. I use it in a V60 as my daily driver since the day it came out! Now watching your videos I'm resisting looking towards cezve method, but I think I failed and want start experimenting with that method. Can I ask your advice for a grind setting on 1Zpresso K-Max as a starting point?
    Thank you,
    Have a good one!

Don't remember it, but lower than espresso will work (slightly lower than suggested for espresso by the manufacturer). Shouldn't be "powder", just be sure to mix it at the 1 minute.
Also, I'm testing faster, "sloppy" pouring with 2024 update of osmotic flow. Currently works great, pouring is done in under 2:10 for 300 g of water

I got this recently and because I'm not clever I disassembled the whole thing with some bolts dropping out. I manged to reassemble it without much problem however now the bottom dial won't stop at zero when turned to maximum. Instead it stops somewhere near 6.1. Anyone know how to calibrate?
Also I figured out how to rotate the dial 180 degrees but since it's someplace in the middle this doesn't help.

I can't recall if spacers had protrusions on both sides or not. Probably only on one side. And this protrusion should be positioned towards the bearing (meaning, "inside", so that you see a flat surface when they're installed). Hope this helps.

Some coffee could also be underdeveloped (roasting defect) so that there will be unpleasant acidity in any brewing method. Beans matter. Even if they're dark outside, they could be lighter inside. Try to chew the coffee bean, what does it taste like (spit it after chewing of course). Alternatively - brew in a cup and check the taste profile

Наскільки пам'ятаю, тут все розповів th-cam.com/video/Kvu8QM_iqfE/w-d-xo.html
