Yes. I personally totally want to see a video where you go into detail on what and why you've chosen to design your home this way! Home design is pretty relaxing and enjoyable to watch 😎
Me too I wanna see it! Evan could maybe do like a highlights type video if he wants to have a house tour vid for people that aren’t interested in all the details and put clips from each room in it
The individual room tour videos sound very appealing honestly. I'd love to hear why you styled something a certain way, I say go for it! Do your tour that way! (especially if it's the way you'd prefer to, I know youtube is your job but make sure you're really enjoying making the content you create too)
Love the idea of individual room tours and explaining the reasons why you chose the furniture and items in them. Also your video made me commit to learning Norwegian and it’s going great and I love the cascading method
Hey Evan, a suggestion for where in the UK you could go is the “old” OG Jersey, the most southerly place in the British isles and particularly in summer the weather and the beaches are lovely. With a good amount of places to visit. Hope I sold it to you 😊
i just wanna say evan i’ve been subscribed to you for a couple years now and it’s so nice to see you really happy in your new place, in a relationship you enjoy, and making content you’re passionate about. wishing you nothing but the best!
Suggestion: a basic overview tour and then individual videos that focus on different areas/rooms that you want to go in depth on. Negative side is that it will take longer and more work to get through it all. Positive side is more content and appealing to a wider range. It also offers you more "1 year later" videos if you decide to go that route.
I'd love a detailed tour - hearing about your own decision-making process sounds interesting. And please collab with Tom Scott - he even has a channel devoted to collabs!
Like you, Evan, my son and I have been American ex-pats living in the UK F/T for the past 10 yrs. We're from neighboring NYC. We stumbled upon your channel some 2 yrs ago and have been following you ever since. Let me tell you that watching you brightens our day. You're fun, you're positive, you're caring, and you are genuine. We both send you a BIG thank you for being just you!
I'm just so happy to see you finally ensconced in your flat! I've been following along and it made me stressed, so I can't imagine how you felt. Such relief!
I'd totally love to watch you talk about the details in your different rooms. It would probably be easier to digest if it were in a video of each segment instead of one big one.
I can relate to using a more standard language on the phone. I speak a somewhat obscure Alemannic dialect and I prefer speaking it if my interlocutor is likely to understand it, because it remains part of my roots and my personality. But on the telephone I want to make sure to be understood and it's more efficient, so I switch out some pronunciations to more common ones and substitute certain words.
I absolutely love what I have seen of your flat so far! Room by room tour would be nice. A little tip for wall decorations: We put a type of rail on the walls we wanten to hang paintings and foto prints. It comes with transparent strings (?) and some hooks. You don’t have to drill new holes in the walls every time you want to put something up that has a different size. Also…. We have some foto’s printed on acoustic panels. This helps so much against echo and doesn’t look half bad 😃
I would love to see individual room tours of each room. I'm still decorating my first home so it would be helpful and interesting. Also you should definitely come to Cornwall! I'm from Cornwall and it's a beautiful place!
A Potentially Great Collab: Mihalis Eleftheriou. He's the maker of LanguageTransfer (honestly one of the best language resources), a polygot and he is a Londoner. His knowledge and expertise on Language and culture could make for a brilliant collaboration
Ten years in and Sunday trading hours STILL catch me out! Being aware of that stores over a certain size can only open for six hours, and knowing if your local grocery store(s) are “affected” would be my main tip!
I moved to the UK a year ago and I can say exactly this. For the first 3 months this always caught me out. Pro tip buy a few basic ready meals and leave them in the freezer for the Sundays where you forget about the trading times and are stuck for a dinner.
If you want to be a good local councillor, you have to read the standing orders. Read them an understand them (please tell me you’ve seen the Jackie weaver video or this will make no sense)
“Don’t be upset that you don’t have motivation some days” YES especially for all the perfectionists out there (like me)! The way you keep up with your habits? You learn how to phone it in without punishing yourself! Doing the thing > than doing the thing perfectly in terms of building habits.
I’m more aligned with the type of content that you’d like to do than-as you said-most here are. In that vein, I would *love* room-specific tours detailing why they’re set up the way they are, more editing videos, audio videos, how you research, whatever the current fixation is, etc. Whatever. Just everything. I find all of it so cool and I’m so into it despite not engaging with it much. So, yeah. I know you’ve said most here have more specific content preferences for your channels, but I just think you should know that there are some of us-like me-who would love the full-range of your interests and content!!
I would prefer the long tours where you explain/give stories about your history of the objects in your place over a quick video without stories. ie. I notice there's a throw in what looks like a tartan on your couch. I'd be interested if there's a history behind it.
Good answer! Thank you for including my question, that was a weird feeling 😅 Collab suggestion: Geoff Marshall. He does videos about trains and transport in the UK, based in London. He could help you get acquainted with your new neck of the woods, and you could do a UK vs US public transport video. Or, better idea, you could go on a day out around London together photographing transport and people in transit. It would be so cool if you could one of your photos used by Art On The Underground.
Another lovely video, as always! Enjoyed it a lot, I have been watching your videos for few years now and I am so happy every time you post a new video, regardless of the topic, its always a good watch.
Yes..I would love a seperate video for each room..with its individual challenges/goals for style & function. Ps the lighting & crispness here is stunning🌟
I’m from Cornwall (originally Looe) and it is a beautiful place. Everything is very far from one another which can be tiresome and everything is a lot slower, especially compared to places like London. It’s a really nice change and most people are very friendly, I think you’ll love it.
hello! plz tell me the brand of your couch/ sofa! I was looking such a color from one year and in june (maybe earlier) I will have my own flat. And fabric is great, too!
Do a series on the Flat! The first a very basic here's my flat, room look around. Then each week or so a more in-depth video on each room individually. I'm a sucker for a good well thought out and executed series 😁
4:09 As a British person who was born abroad and returned when my teen years began, I definitely have ;w; my accent was a learned English accent through American television and peers, many of whom spoke English as a second language and also watched mostly American television when it came to English speaking media. I had to change a lot of words to not get harassed and today I find myself shifting my accent towards my British English influences in situations that feel unfamiliar (interviews, strangers, work environments) because it's a way to fit in. Kind of similar to how a lot of people here switch dialects for different social situations (e.g. matching your dialect to the speaker by strengthening or weakening how you speak) I don't imagine there will be more pressure to do this for people who come here as adults, I imagine adults won't pester you the same way minds still in development would. If anything changes it'll be through time and influence, the way I speak now comes across as neutral, local, or American to different people.
I would be so into a super long flat tour, I really like listening you explain ur set ups in general so I think a nice long flat would be really entertaining.
9:30 i was confused why there was no noise when the graphic came in from the left, and then there was noise in my left ear when the graphic came in from the right. Then i remembered that the left speaker in my headphones doesnt work and that i wear my headphones the wrong way round so the wire doesnt tangle
I would 100 percent watch an indepth tour of every room of your house (I also get the ‘long duo streak motivation’ just got my 1000 days on german today 🎉)
I just want to see the basic layout of your flat and the view you have. Doesn't need to be fully furnished/decorated at all. :) OMG, your audio and video are so much better than everyone else I follow.
I'm a fellow American living in the UK. (Oxford) I have followed you since you started TH-cam. I really enjoy your perspective and excited to watch you grow. 🇬🇧🇺🇸🙂👍🏻♥️🌈
You could do a part 1 part 2 videos and just combine some rooms into one video by just keeping to your high points? Don't be afraid to be proud of your first REAL place, one that is all yours! Also, you could have asked your audiences where to get things, we'd have helped!
Second :( well done other Jamie :) Would be nice to see a before and after video of how your flat looks, so we can see the difference between new now, and later when it's more how you want it.
yeah dont get a samoyed if you dont want to be cleaning fur a lot in your home. My friend has one, and while her pupper is a floofy sweetheart, her house is just full of tumbleweed balls of fluff everywhere. Samoyeds are double-coated, so they have a LOT of fur to shed.
Looking forward to the flat video tour and the dating app video sounds interesting too!! I would watch the audio video because I agree, your audio is so good!
I suggest you go on a ramble with Sean James Cameron. He does gardening on his allotment but also those interesting walks that are in London suburbs but sort of give glimpses of the past. There might be one near you.
Be looking forward to your LA and YOSEMITE visits. Too bad you're not coming to the San Diego area. Maybe next trip to Ca. Besides you my fav. TH-camr is Lawrence Brown & Lost in the Pond.
You could make a video with a general tour for people not interested in the details and go into details in seperate videos. As if the seperate videos were like deleted scenes from the main video. Does it make sense ?
For UK places, if you have some friends that drive, by a cheap £500 car and go on a road trip with it. Car Throttle has good advice on this in their NC500 Episodes
I call it plastic wrap. If I'm lazy I say saran wrap or cling film. But that's when it's 2am and I just need to cover the leftovers from new years partying
So I'm British, I currently live in France, so I go to school in France and I have to take English lessons in France. For some reason every teacher has an American accent and uses American words so every time they use one I'd just "correct" them until they start using the "correct" word (ex: Trolley, not shopping cart; Chips, not fries; etc....)
Hey Evan, you should do a collar video with Adventures and naps She’s a Canadian living down in Kent who does similar content and it could be a interesting comparison between emigrating from Canada vs America to the UK
When you are in LA it would be cool for you to meet up with Philip DeFranco. :D What I miss a lot from TH-cam is the ability to do video responses. Not so much for me to leave, but I found a few people to follow from their video responses to others. :)
Like a small dog?!? How small are you/how big is your bearded dragon? I half want you to have a mislabeled monitor lizard...and half want it to have been about temperament...

Yes, same
Same
I’d be happy to watch a tour of each room (E.g. 1 vid of just the kitchen, another just the bedroom, another the living room etc.).
Me too!
Me four 👌🏽
Me 5
Another vote for this 😀 - we are all now totally invested in your new flat after watching the 💩 you went through to get it……..
Yep, I'm in for this.
I already love the vibe of the apartment it seems so ✨homey ✨
Thanks! :)
Someone know the brand of that sofa?
Hey Evan, a suggestion for where in the UK you could go is the “old” OG Jersey, the most southerly place in the British isles and particularly in summer the weather and the beaches are lovely. With a good amount of places to visit. Hope I sold it to you 😊
9:27 we do notice. All your content sounds feels and looks so high quality, it makes me feel warm and calm. Thanks for all your effort Evan
i just wanna say evan i’ve been subscribed to you for a couple years now and it’s so nice to see you really happy in your new place, in a relationship you enjoy, and making content you’re passionate about. wishing you nothing but the best!
I would LOVE individual videos on each room because I absolutely love the detail of thought you put into everything. It's very comforting to listen to
The panned sound effects are awesome!! I love these details, they make watching a video so much more enjoyable than it is already the case.
I love that you put such thought and care into how each room is put together, so I'd be down for a video for each room!
I'd love a detailed tour - hearing about your own decision-making process sounds interesting.
And please collab with Tom Scott - he even has a channel devoted to collabs!

Thank you x
I'm just so happy to see you finally ensconced in your flat! I've been following along and it made me stressed, so I can't imagine how you felt. Such relief!
I would love that level of detail about the flat! Would literally watch your videos for hours
I'd totally love to watch you talk about the details in your different rooms. It would probably be easier to digest if it were in a video of each segment instead of one big one.
Uhhh I would love a separate video for different places in the house! I love to see how people decorate their homes and make them their own
You are so much happier and seem content with your living arrangements. I'm so happy for you. You definitely were determined. Love that.
If you go to devon/cornwall make sure to stop at Dartmouth and Salcombe.

Interior design is such a relaxing kind of background thing I would watch a 2 hour long house video or a little mini series for each room
I would love to see individual room tours of each room. I'm still decorating my first home so it would be helpful and interesting. Also you should definitely come to Cornwall! I'm from Cornwall and it's a beautiful place!

Mate, there's a whole world out there of random tours of things and they do really well!
Ten years in and Sunday trading hours STILL catch me out! Being aware of that stores over a certain size can only open for six hours, and knowing if your local grocery store(s) are “affected” would be my main tip!

You might be able to order American brands not otherwise easily found in the UK off of Amazon.

Aye! I live near Yosemite! Wooo welcome to our little mountain community! I love it here !
I just subscribed to your channel yesterday when youtube recommended me videos of yours from 5 years ago.
Yes..I would love a seperate video for each room..with its individual challenges/goals for style & function. Ps the lighting & crispness here is stunning🌟

I would be so into a super long flat tour, I really like listening you explain ur set ups in general so I think a nice long flat would be really entertaining.
I love your content!!! When is your skill share content coming out??
Hey my question got answered! Thanks evan
Can you do a video on how you found your flat you bought? I'm trying to look but I don't even know where to start.
I would love in depth separate videos about each room in your house
Certainly welcome you to New Zealand when we finally manage to open up a bit more
9:30 i was confused why there was no noise when the graphic came in from the left, and then there was noise in my left ear when the graphic came in from the right. Then i remembered that the left speaker in my headphones doesnt work and that i wear my headphones the wrong way round so the wire doesnt tangle
I enjoy how i found you from your avocado video and are now enjoying all your videos
I would watch a seperate video for each room of the flat!
I really appreciate the colours in this video.
I would 100 percent watch an indepth tour of every room of your house
(I also get the ‘long duo streak motivation’ just got my 1000 days on german today 🎉)
I just want to see the basic layout of your flat and the view you have. Doesn't need to be fully furnished/decorated at all. :) OMG, your audio and video are so much better than everyone else I follow.
I love your couch and omg your video is so clear and crisp
Wow! That opening was a real *knee slapper*.
I'll show myself out
Definetly want a tour. Also more on maybe pictures and film I love how you make your content.
I'm a fellow American living in the UK. (Oxford) I have followed you since you started TH-cam. I really enjoy your perspective and excited to watch you grow. 🇬🇧🇺🇸🙂👍🏻♥️🌈
Civ, have played that since the original on my Amiga. Love the game, always have.
Hello everyone and welcome back to a man who has been forgetting that we were here to welcome him back
You could do a part 1 part 2 videos and just combine some rooms into one video by just keeping to your high points? Don't be afraid to be proud of your first REAL place, one that is all yours! Also, you could have asked your audiences where to get things, we'd have helped!
I'm a fairly new TH-camr and I wish I could learn proper lighting, sound and editing from someone like yourself Evan. Your videos always look so good!
How about a colab with Sandy Makes Sense? That might be an interesting nexus of transplants to London and Germany.
That would work well.
Second :( well done other Jamie :) Would be nice to see a before and after video of how your flat looks, so we can see the difference between new now, and later when it's more how you want it.
You could do a tour video, then link some "more info about this room" unlisted video for people who want more detail about styling, etc.
I would be SO up for a kitchen video, a bedroom video, etc., why the hell not!?!?
Great Video, would tots be down for single room tours, also, that lens in the bottom right? Damn?! Ist that just the 70-200 or an even longer tele?
Just came back from Cornwall! Definitely beautiful. Need a week there to justify the trek /transport costs 😭
yeah dont get a samoyed if you dont want to be cleaning fur a lot in your home.
I just wanted to say that the picture quality this video is as crisp as a McDonalds Sprite. Very nice.
Room design, yes, please!
I suggest you go on a ramble with Sean James Cameron. He does gardening on his allotment but also those interesting walks that are in London suburbs but sort of give glimpses of the past. There might be one near you.

Evan's longer hair is a Steven Wilson from, Porcupine Tree, vibe.Which is my vibe
Great collab: British vs American with Jolly 😅
I call it plastic wrap. If I'm lazy I say saran wrap or cling film. But that's when it's 2am and I just need to cover the leftovers from new years partying
As someone who's not really had much luck with dating apps, I'm looking forward to seeing your findings.
Evan please tell me where you got your cushions from! They are glorious
Could you do a video with Tom Scott
Hey Evan, you should do a collar video with Adventures and naps
She’s a Canadian living down in Kent who does similar content and it could be a interesting comparison between emigrating from Canada vs America to the UK
I met my fiancé on Hinge!! Hinge was great. 😁
Omg, I love the civilization game too. I played it when I was in 5th and 6th grades. (It was civilization 3 evolution)
When you are in LA it would be cool for you to meet up with Philip DeFranco. :D What I miss a lot from TH-cam is the ability to do video responses. Not so much for me to leave, but I found a few people to follow from their video responses to others. :)
You’ll be wishing it had air con in these hot days!!! (Unless you are lucky and it does!)
I have a question, Will you be returning to twitch some time Ive been missing the botw playthrough and would love to see some more.
To be honest, i'd Love to watch like 5 in-depth videos about every room!
Scott Cramer. Totally different interest, same puppy energy
I'd love a room to room tour videos
I recommend a bearded dragon!! Sort of like a little dog but without the hair! We love our girl!
Like a small dog?!?
How small are you/how big is your bearded dragon?
I half want you to have a mislabeled monitor lizard...and half want it to have been about temperament...
I'd like to see you with the Lost in the Pond guy. Sort of just the opposite vantage point.
Choose your own adventure flat tour. Take the brief look around and then go down pathways that go ibtobthe more detailed stuff that you really want to show
I have a samoyed, if you want some advice and a great place in EU to get them
