Glad to see you again! This was great information, thank you for sharing. I can hardly wait to get my garden going again next year! I'm working on making a larger one......yup I'm crazy at my age to do that, but it makes me happy to grow things. 😀
Thanks its been a while I know😊I feel the exact same way about gardening. It is most definitely my happy place! This gardening season got away from me in a lot of ways so I'm already dreaming and planning next growing season too!
I’m going to try canning today! And I have sweet potatoes and red potatoes. Newbie question: Can I wash them and leave the skins on? That’s how we always eat them anyway, even my mashed potatoes. And the skin is where the nutrients are. I noticed you peeled yours. Oh, and I’m water bathing. Don’t have a pressure canner. :)
@@Gr8Grahamsleaving the skins on and waterbath canning potatoes are more what they refer to as "rebel canning" since they aren't tested and don't meet safe canning guidelines. While I do do some rebel canning myself, I don't usually share that in my videos as I'm just more comfortable sharing safe canning methods and recommendations. I have left the peels on with my own potatoes but have not waterbath canned potatoes. Would love to know how yours work out!
