I remember Tommy coming to our Year 12 school camp. Just rocked up by himself, walking up the hill. As unssuming as they come. Me, being the football nerd that I am, recognised him straight away and yelled out to him. Tommy's response? To come over and sit down and chat with me and my small group of mates for 20 minutes about anything we wanted to talk about before he 'realised' that he was to check in with the teachers. Legendary coach. Legendary bloke.

wow....never saw this at the time......great stuff KB....I met Tommy once and was stunned by his willingness to talk to anyone....i sent him an email when he was unwell to let him know how much i respected him and wished him a recovery (not long before his passing) and he took the time to reply to me.....what a man. Sadly missed still.....RIP Tommy
