I just did a quick video on it too. I bought it to replace my now almost 7 year old GDP which never read great buttons. I adore the buttons and the joystick on his thing. And I was actually amazed it could do PS1 so well. I had not expected that! So that’s a great bonus. And a feature I truly adore is the sub collection of vertical arcade games that already are setup to play with this thing in vertical mode. That really is brilliant and works nice.
Hello, cool review. All I would add is that while it might not be the best device to emulate PSP games. It does a pretty good job at playing both N64 and Dreamcast games with the two analog sticks. Which for me was one of the main reason getting this device. With the fact that it is also an horizontal form factor for extra comfort. Cheers. 😀
Dude... you can update the stock firmware which is a lot better that the old firmware you showing us. You should have done more research because Anbernic made a lot of improvements and updates of this device and now also visually a lot better interface... shame you didn't let people show the latest firmware which is very good! There is absolutely no reason to use custom firmware on this device if you download the latest stock firmware.
Thanks for the suggestion. Do you have a link for the new stock firmware? I'm running Batocera Lite and things look good visually, but it has a number of issues I'm experiencing such as games disappearing, but then they reappear after I run chkdsk on my computer. Card is a genuine SanDisk that I've used in another Anbernic devices with no issues, and I can't replicate the issue because sometimes nothing disappears for several days! But when it happens, it's always the last games folder I accessed before shutting down. But I hear you about not needing cfw if stock is good. I run stock on my RG353P and it's perfect.
RetroArch on the stock OS craps out after a month a two (though the no-name SD card is likely to blame as well) It works great with Anbernic's firmware update flashed on a better SD card
7:04 Mine plays DS fine. Did you update the fw? Idk how it's not working for you, many other people are playing DS just fine. It only struggles if you use high res.
Could be several factors. Bad SD card, out of date firmware. I did update the firmware on a new SD card and then flashed MinUI on top of that so I’ll try again at some point.
Question: I ordered one from Ali Express that will have a card with a bunch of games on it. If i want to back it up, just put the micro sd into a reader onto my pc and just copy everything into a clearly named file, right? Will those ROMS/Bios be able to be used on another device if i format an SD card properly for that device? Just trying to understand if the ROMS from one device are useable on a different device once run through the proper system OS. If I'm asking this wrong, please let me know and answer for me. Thanks in advance.
Does anyone know if stock OS can run Sinclair Spectrum and ZX81 games? I changed to Batocera to run them but wondering if the latest version of stock os can?
@@ronaldsaravia98 tiktok shop, I usually don't shop there, but I had to take advantage of the new customer promo they were offering... I think they usually sell it for around $50 there, but they offered $25 (50% off) for new customers. Amazon is the worst place to buy because everyone inflates their prices there close to $80-90... (even if they do offer faster shipping)

RG351P/M is a legend, it was what got me into retro handhelds.
A timeless classic. One of the most popular for a reason.

This system rocks and the CFW I would recommend is Batocera 40. Just released and is amazing!!
Ordered one tonight. Mainly gonna play everything PSX & below with a dash of N64 & PSP (mainly MegaMan Maverick Hunter X & Powered Up on PSP)
I love those games.
RETROGUE ALLLL DAY!!! LETS GOOOOO. Great review!
Thanks Stubbs! ❤️
Nice review! I can't have a plain Jane menu though. I like all the pretty themes with scraped box art and videos.
Interesting. I’ve had no issues with DS wonder if it’s a minui problem. Great review
Sadly I was on stock firmware when I had the issues, but others have reported DS working just fine.

Thank you! ❤️
What is better than the RG35XXH that can run PSP games smoothly? At least PSP initial d. 😊
Great question

I paid 52 dollars yesterday in Ali Express...

Yes, ROMs are universal and can be used elsewhere.

Can it play Crysis?
This device isn't for me but great review regardless. Also minui is the way! 🙂
Thanks Cho! I love MinUI. Perfect for a pocket device.
@@TeamRetrogue I love that it basically turns everything into a mini analogue pocket
Looks like a great device. But I really don`t like the colors they launched RG35XXH with. Where is the gray or gray dmg variant? Such a shame.
thats weird, nds works really good on my stock os
I just got this for $30
Where did you get it?
