Yesterday I felt such an intense sadness but God reminded me of Philippians 3. I can rejoice simply in who He is. That I need to believe that He is in control. And like Joe is singing, "that He holds the whole world in His hands". He is good. I got caught up in my feelings, my overwhelming circumstances and how broken we are as people. Man, but after declaring that I believe He is in control and that He is always good I felt God strengthen me with His joy. I have a reason to sing. This is a beautiful song that so reminds me of what I experienced.

I loved these worship sessions, I feel like at some point Joe thought his hurt and feeling of being distant from God was too much and was isolating, but it honestly brought so much vulnerability to his music and built up ministry. I think for a long time it taught a new generation how to praise Him through hurt and imperfection. Love him still, but these moments are so beautiful to me.
