I was devastated- we had 2 young children together and I invested so much of my life to then feel like I was losing it all. I was at a choir rehearsal feeling depressed and defeated when one of the pastors of the church said those exact words to me- "you'll love again..." Fast forward 20 years later I am remarried to an incredible woman of God, blessed with 3 more sons, and my daughter came to live with me some 20 years later! The takeaway here is found in Psalms 127:1, " Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it..." Back in the day I thought I could build things on my own. Nowadays, "my hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus' blood and righteousness." Listen to me children of God; If Christ isn't the foundation- If he isn't the cornerstone of whatever you are building, it's only a matter of time before it falls, and you fail. So now, I'm learning things go so much better when I follow the advice of Solomon in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
