The table is worth the money for the base, the slate and the rubber. I would definitely have remodelled the rails with solid timber and invested in a quality speed cloth. Might have even swapped out the pockets for solid buckets and saved on the sore knuckles lol. Nice looking table though 👍
got the slates on today and screwed down i used a smart level for this just because i had one...will be doing the seams and covering tomorrow with a high quality speed cloth i purchased, thanks for this video it gave me the motivation to DIY
I would look out for any pool halls that are closing (locally) and for a few hundred extra, get a really good quality table (like a Brunswick or Olhausen - maybe even a Diamond) that will offer MUCH better play and last longer. I am very Leary of the nails securing the pockets damaging the balls as they go into the pockets at any kind of speed. They should be recessed more, or dowelling offered instead. I detest gluing the cloth to the slate. VERY hard to remove cleanly, comes the time for replacement. Still, for 'fun' or beginners, this table looks pretty neat and the slate is a HUGE improvement on crappy composite substitutes (which you should stay away from if you want decent speed on the table). Glad you are happy with it. (I wonder how much money Mizerak was paid to endorse these things?)
@@WaleedSarwari my worries some slate have wood frame so you can staple the felt. Will gluing is not very good for stretching the felt compare to stapling.
I'm so glad i found your video before i ordered this table cause its a little bit of a let down with the cheap plastic parts an pressed boards for the price instead i found a used valley coin operated table on ebay had them refelt it for my preference an delivered for 1500
So the table uses HDF wood rails? How has it held up? I'm thinking of getting a snooker table that uses HDF rails but seal it up with extra sealant to prevent moisture getting in.
i just got mine delivered friday directly to my basement and i started unboxing to have it ready for the assembly guy on thursday and i noticed that the there is a crack in the wood at the side pocket :( i supposed maybe this is from the shipping. Im going to see what the assembly guy says on thursday.
I currently have a nice 9 ft pool table which is very nice..I had an 8 ft pool table before and I think people enjoyed the 8 footer more than the 9 footer...maybe cause 9 ft is harder to play since is longer and pockets are narrower? Thinking about selling 9 to get an 8ft table. We don't play professionally just for fun in my garage man cave...debating between selling my 9 footer to get an8 footer..what kind a felt and bumpers should I get ether for 8 footer or even if I decide to keep 9 footer? I have enough room to play on 9 footer, well I have a pub round table on corner of garage with 2 barstools and people have to move when shooting from that corner. Also I have just barely enough room along wall to shoot..however I was thinking about putting a shelve along wall for drinks etc, etc..but tje shelve will definitely get in the way when shooting from that side of wall..so that's why I was thinking about 8 footer to just have a little more space Maybe get a nice Dimond pro with good bumpers and blue felt, or upgrade my current 9 footer with good bumpers and blue felt too:)
I got this table for recreational play. I would recommend an 8 footer for you too. You want yourself and guests to have fun not get annoyed with the limited space. I’m going to upgrade the felt to Worsted Blend Fast Speed fabric. I think that would solve the lint issue that this fabric has.
Pretty heavy. If you have two people, it can be done somewhat easily. The pallet isn’t movable once it’s delivered by the 18 wheeler truck driver. You’ll have to take it piece by piece. The three slate pieces are obviously the most heaviest and largest.
That's going to play horribly. You need to put some stretch on that cloth. And spray glue just on the last 1" of the slate. Glue one side let it dry for a bit then pull the other side tight. Not loose like this. And the glue so far onto the playing surface will make the balls roll away from the rails even that paper thin layer of glue will make it roll off.
@@johnalsaka3201 I don't know what qualifies as tough or official? The description says "K66 nose rubber". I haven't noticed anything go wrong with the cushions. If you're talking about the felt aka the table cloth then that's not tough. The table cloth is somewhat smooth.
The only thing I noticed you did wrong you have to level the slate slabs after you level the frame and put any shims that you need under the slate and the wood that it sits on the ball don't roll off or anything and do you feel where the slate meets is it even cuz those lines can open up nice attempt I would have just paid somebody $300 tops well you save $300 at least
Thank you for the video, that really encouraged me to just hire professionals to install my pool table, this is like a building a rocket for me.
I’m glad this was helpful!

Yeah I’m definitely changing the cloth in the future. This stock one is terrible haha. If I can I’ll change the pockets too.
This table sucks

That’s awesome to hear! Definitely share your process on putting a new cloth on.
any updates on your thoughts on this table? Thank you for such a great video!

I wasn’t paid a penny from Mizerak haha. I did this video for fun and hope others would find it useful when they are shopping for one. 😊
Nice. Cost ?
No good table😢😢
What do you think now after 4 months. How is it going. Is a good purchase. Is it a good pool table?
The table still great to play on. The felt is terrible! A lot Lint comes out. I’ll remove it in the future for a better cloth.

Yes Great video!
did those amazon deliverers handle with care ?
Yes but it was delivered by a third party with a 18 wheeler truck.
What material is the table top made of?
Its that 8x4ft billiard table?
Did you buy the Slatron model or the regular Slate?
Slate model
Nice table
nice video and good advice … Thank you
Thanks!

The rails are some type of wood. I'm not sure if it's HDF or MDF.

i really dont want the headache to send this back i waited almost a month now the crack is very minor
You should call the number provided to ask for that particular part only.

Yeah they all come in one box its very heavy youll need a hammer or crowbar or something like that to get the blocks of wood off
Each slate piece (and there are three) weighs about 150 lbs.
whered you get this from
I got it from Amazon.com. It's sold by other retailers, too.
