Falling in reverse has been one of my favorite bands since the beginning! It's really been something else to watch them grow and evolve into the beast they are now!! Some of us can relate to this on a really deep level, when I say “some of us” I mean me lol so yeah I’ve been an addict most of my adult life and I struggle with those demons daily. Ronnie is fighting them as well and it comes out in a lot of his music and that is something that garners a lot of attention from people like me. His lyrics can be interpreted in many different ways and that’s what music is all about. You interpret it how you want and make it fit your life or situation. It is art and he’s expressing his struggle. Good stuff my guy. Skål 🍻
I think the “don’t make me choose” is a back and forth between the part of him who wants to be on drugs and the part who doesn’t. It’s why the tone changes through out. It all starts good and fun but he slowly comes to a realization that he needs to change while battling with that side of him that’s saying “no, this is fine. It’s fun, don’t change, you’ll lose this part of yourself”. If you’ve been addicted to anything, you know that struggle. The biggest issue comes in when that discomfort of quitting comes in. Obviously discomfort varies wildly by the drug but, that’s what I get. It’s an internal dialogue.

The thing about his early raps is that it was more about flow and good music than bars😂 He has said he feels almost ashamed of earliest stuff from around 2014 and he havre also said that Alone is the most Cringe song he has ever done.

I kinda respect him more as an artist now for saying that, because his growth from this to ‘Watch The World Burn’ is very evident so to hear him defend verses like this would’ve been a little disappointing.
