dude when Corey taylor popped out of nowhere it was the craziest thing ever. It was almost like his stamp of approval on the next generation of rock.

You did them in the correct order!! Losing My Mind was him addicted to drugs (and metaphorically dying at the end/ascending into the clouds), Losing My Life was the “Evil” side of him functioning in his brain while he was “asleep” (drugs forcing him into a state of mind and not seeing his actual life/missing out on his daughter’s upbringing and fighting internally with himself), and Drugs is killing that “evil” side of him to be better for his daughter (but realizing that his daughter might end up just like him because addictions tend to follow your children). This is how I interpret the flow of the visual story.
Corey Taylor is the appearance in the video and he is the lead singer for Slipknot and Stone Sour. Another great band to react to!
Electric Callboy is a must if you haven’t heard of them! Hypa Hypa is usually the introduction to them, but I would love to see Tekkno Train!
I Prevail is also very good! Recommended lots of there stuff, but start with Bad Things or Deep End to ease in!

So, as you pointed out, Ronnie had once done a lot with drugs and alcohol. He sobered up in prison and has tried to keep a sober life since. So a lot of Ronnie’s songs do talk about addiction and rehab, but really from a perspective of getting out of it. Not wanting the toxic life anymore. Corey Taylor (the featured singer) has a similar history with addiction and has been sober for something like 12 years. There is a growing list of rockers who are sober and supportive of each other… like Ivan Moody from Five Finger Death Punch and lots more.

Back when he was still with escape the fate there were videos of him battle rapping and freestyles with people on the sidewalk. He's always loved rap. He's got quite a few rap songs under his own name.
The end is a summary of all three, the overall message is that because of his mother’s addiction and then Ronnie’s addiction, everything comes full circle with willow needing to fight those same demons as she grows up

Great song. Great video and great reaction. That awesome screamo voice was Cory Taylor of Slipknot. His screams and growls are very easy to understand. You should check out Slipknot. A couple good starter songs would be Solway Firth, unsainted, heretic anthem, the devil in I. Wait and bleed. Great bars and their sound is an eargasm.

One of the thing that is very use by drummer in metal group is a Double Bass Pedal that permit them to do that quick rhythmic you might be listening in Falling In Reverse.
Would definitely recommend Electric Callboy, they're super talented and they just make really fun music. Hypa Hypa (the original, the remixes are cool, but nothing beats the original) or We Got the Moves would both be great songs to start with.

This was a great watching you experience this Trilogy. I hope you continue to experience FIR both past and present. Keep progressing through the rock/metal and you'll notice there is a lot of similarities between rock/metal and hip-hop/rap.

The song ALONE is the first time he rapped on a song, I think. I remember when it came out everyone in the scene was like “the hell is this???” And then he blew up. lol and I’m pretty sure the hate was solely based on jealously
One thing about this song that gets overlooked a lot is the drummer(at least in the video.. can't recall if it's actually him on the song) is the drummer from another band called Black Veil Brides which just like Falling In Reverse it seems like everyone either loves or hates them n there's no middle ground... which.. personally I don't get cuz the band has never done anything problematic to my knowledge(I don't make a habit of keeping tabs on any celebrity's personal life)... anyway my point was you should also check out Black Veil Brides... they aren't musically on the level of Falling In Reverse but for their singer Andy Biersack alone they're worth checking out cuz his voice is so unique

Okay okay okay first things first. That’s Corey Taylor, Slipknot vocalist. Over the last few years more and more people are realising the pure skill and art of his vocals and depth of range.
He has a live gig from the UK where it’s just him and a guitar and it’s some of the best vocal work you’ll ever hear and you’ll understand his natural tone. All the slipknot stuff is extra, all the other projects (even successful ones) show more range. Eg “StoneSour - Through Glass” or “Slipknot Vermillion Pt2”

I'll give you the tech side of the drums. When working with electronic beats they have been run through a digitizer and a compressor. It'll sound good but will always lack the fullness of sound you get from the actual item. A real time experiment you can use is to play a song on a record, a cassette, a CD, and an mp3. Each one requires an additional layer of compression so the sound gets flatter. Hope this helps.
I know I'm late to this party, but this MV hits me hard.. the themes of battling yourself and generational substance abuse. I come from a line of addicts and unfortunately, that cycle didn't break with me. One of my favorite things about FIRs videos are the conversations they start about mental health and chemical dependency... and that they melt my fuckin face off lol

Drugs is a social commentary on how everybody has their "drug" that their addicted to whether it's actual drugs, social media/validation, or chasing something like the American Dream.

In Losing my Life he was his original self who wanted to party and didn’t want to listen to any shit about it. The black ooze that the girl spit in his mouth was the heroine with the girl representing the allure of the high. At the end of the song he is floating away in the high.
In Losing my Life he is realizing he is an addict and what he will lose if he continues. At the end there 2 Ronnies, his battle with himself. We assume that blonde is the “good Ronnie” but it is actually bad Ronnie burying the one who is trying to quit.
In Drugs, dark hair Ronnie (the actual “good” one) wakes from the battle at the beginning. We then see him struggling just to live. We already know that his daughter is his salvation but he also credits his fans for helping. The Corey Tayler and chainsaw part represents the life and death battle and him killing off his bad side. He then faces his mom who passed her addiction to him and was absent from his life. At the end he wakes on the floor with his daughter calling him (back to the right age). He realizes that the battle is circular, he will always have to fight or go through it all again. The last part with Willow also makes him realize that his mom passed it to him and he could potentially pass it to Willow creating another circular battle.
