The sigh of relief Faker must have felt when he saw all 4 members of T1 clutching the 5v4 after he was caught LITERALLY at the same area while on RED SIDE just like in 2017. And the CRAZIEST thing about the outcome of that fight is also the fact that in 2017, Ruler's Varus caught Faker but this time GUMA'S VARUS was the one to SAVE T1 and Faker. History will always find ways to repeat itself but it takes TRUE challengers to defy them.
I think he didn't get caught on the last fight, it looks like he baited the E+Flash Poppy combo, there's absolutely no reason to take that stepback otherwise in that situation, watched it again a lot of times and it seems purposeful, with it he turned a 5v3 into a 4v1 and a 1v2, effectively taunting Chovy, Kiin, Peyz for a solid 2 seconds and confusing Canyon in which target to jump in for a split second, THAT allowed T1 to turn the fight, to kill off Lehends and time for Zeus and Keria to flank. Had they focused all down on the guaranteed kill on Oner instead and repositioned that would've been a whole different game, maybe even series. I wish I could ask him (Faker) if that was actually a bait, has to be, but honestly it's just crazy, it's next level mindgames, we know him to use his... "aura" for lack of a better word, to taunt people into making these plays. So, I think he knew they'd clutch the fight as soon as he found the opportunity for them to turn it, which I see as an ever bigger statement on how in sync T1 is.

With yone and aurora mostly being consistent red side bans, banning sylas either forces them to ban ahri, wasting all 3 of their bans, or they have to play into ahri without sylas. Just an option. T1's aura is insaaaaane after they've beaten BLG on the swiss stage. I knew on that moment after they've beaten two of the teams most powerful laners on their main champs that T1 will be back on the finals.
We are so blinded by who gets to achieve the Golden Road first that we forgot no same roster has yet to win Worlds twice and T1 has a chance of a lifetime. And if T1 bested the LPL last year in Knockouts, T1 also has a chance that they will eliminate 3 Super Teams on paper this year. TES with a few former World Champions, GEN Super team and BLG Super team. This is a stat no one will ever beat for a long time if T1 manages to pull this off.
Win against geg is so big for the T1 story. The only org who had their number for 2 years, 2 YEARS. Some folks even called their last year win 'geng avoidance' and the manner they DISMANTLED GenG was crazy. Now the story for the finals is crazy, i cant wait for the finals man.

As much as I love this GenG roster, because of how much they achieved, they had an amazing year and they played incredible. But I think they need to split up. Canyon seems to enjoy a more skirmish heavy playstyle and current GenG is all about controlling macro and winning with gold in the late game. Chovy perma farms and it works for him, but I feel like canyon just gets bored with this kind of playstyle. He's of course really good at it tho, don't get me wrong, he's not the problem, but I want to see him fight early on, invade and play for dives. Peyz however, I think he needs to leave ASAP, his growth is getting affected by GenG, since he joined the roster he hasn't really been pushed to get better, you can say this kind of games help, but this happens once in a long time, GenG is always winning and Peyz doesn't need to carry a game by himself, like all other ADC's have been doing and have learned to do. I don't think he should be playing 1v9 but I think he should learn to do it, and GenG is not a place to do it. Lehends trolled but his playstyle and calls are the essence of GenG, I don't think a bad series merits a player just leaving the roster, his playstyle is GenG's playstyle. And when Lehends is having a bad game is GenG having a bad game.

Chovy needs to have that clutch factor. When the chips are down and your team is behind, he needs to step up especially since he is good mechanically. You'll see that every mid laner that won worlds have this factor, heck even caps have this and it usually gives the team a breathing room to scale some more
While I'm happy to see T1 performing so well and finally crushing their demons in Gen G, I do feel bad for Chovy. It really looked like Chovy would finally lift a summoner's cup but it looks like the T1 worlds buff was too strong even for him. The difference in macro this series(as well as an astro gap in the support role) really defined how this would play out. It's also satisfying to see Guma's world class form come alive once again. Peyz's lack of experience on the international stage is really biting him in the ass and Lehends might have had his worst series this whole year. MSI is a great win for Gen G, but even if you call MSI a "harder" tournament to win, Worlds will always be the most important tournament of the year. As for the finals, I don't really mind who wins this time around. I think T1 proved their class time and time again and them winning worlds last year already was enough for me for various reasons and seeing them win again would solidify their legacy as the best League team of all time. The cherry on top for T1 being that they home grew their roster for the most part. For BLG, I like Bin and Knight as players and seeing them win worlds would be sweet as well. China having a full Chinese roster win a world championship for the first time would be cool to see also.

Imagine being Gengs child for years straight, but the moment it truly mattered, they did it? 4Th seed, they were so close to not even make into Worlds. Choovy and Peyz play really well when they’re ahead, but they struggle a lot when they’re behind. Choovy doesn’t have that aggressive, "never give up" mentality; he tends to play more cautiously. This is just based on his performance at Worlds though-he’s usually pretty strong in the LCK.

We are so blinded by who gets to achieve the Golden Road first that we forgot no same roster has yet to win Worlds twice and T1 has a chance of a lifetime. And if T1 bested the LPL last year in Knockouts, T1 also has a chance that they will eliminate 3 Super Teams on paper this year. TES with a few former World Champions, GEN Super team and BLG Super team. This is a stat no one will ever beat for a long time if T1 manages to pull this off.

As much as I love this GenG roster, because of how much they achieved, they had an amazing year and they played incredible. But I think they need to split up.
Canyon seems to enjoy a more skirmish heavy playstyle and current GenG is all about controlling macro and winning with gold in the late game. Chovy perma farms and it works for him, but I feel like canyon just gets bored with this kind of playstyle. He's of course really good at it tho, don't get me wrong, he's not the problem, but I want to see him fight early on, invade and play for dives.
Peyz however, I think he needs to leave ASAP, his growth is getting affected by GenG, since he joined the roster he hasn't really been pushed to get better, you can say this kind of games help, but this happens once in a long time, GenG is always winning and Peyz doesn't need to carry a game by himself, like all other ADC's have been doing and have learned to do. I don't think he should be playing 1v9 but I think he should learn to do it, and GenG is not a place to do it.
Lehends trolled but his playstyle and calls are the essence of GenG, I don't think a bad series merits a player just leaving the roster, his playstyle is GenG's playstyle. And when Lehends is having a bad game is GenG having a bad game.
T1 has great options if their Jgl/Mid/ADC/Sup decide to go their separate ways. I think only Canyon from GenG should join T1, though.
Chovy should learn to make plays. Permafarming while your team is getting slaughtered is not it at worlds.
Exactly this the reason canyon left showmaker is because SM start turning into this type of midlaner and canyon got so bored

Chovy needs to have that clutch factor. When the chips are down and your team is behind, he needs to step up especially since he is good mechanically. You'll see that every mid laner that won worlds have this factor, heck even caps have this and it usually gives the team a breathing room to scale some more

While I'm happy to see T1 performing so well and finally crushing their demons in Gen G, I do feel bad for Chovy. It really looked like Chovy would finally lift a summoner's cup but it looks like the T1 worlds buff was too strong even for him. The difference in macro this series(as well as an astro gap in the support role) really defined how this would play out. It's also satisfying to see Guma's world class form come alive once again. Peyz's lack of experience on the international stage is really biting him in the ass and Lehends might have had his worst series this whole year. MSI is a great win for Gen G, but even if you call MSI a "harder" tournament to win, Worlds will always be the most important tournament of the year.
As for the finals, I don't really mind who wins this time around. I think T1 proved their class time and time again and them winning worlds last year already was enough for me for various reasons and seeing them win again would solidify their legacy as the best League team of all time. The cherry on top for T1 being that they home grew their roster for the most part. For BLG, I like Bin and Knight as players and seeing them win worlds would be sweet as well. China having a full Chinese roster win a world championship for the first time would be cool to see also.
MSI never be harder tournament. Its just mid year event.Wolrd is hardest tournament because every player and every team want to win biggest tournament so the preparation level is on another level if you compare world to MSI.

Choovy and Peyz play really well when they’re ahead, but they struggle a lot when they’re behind. Choovy doesn’t have that aggressive, "never give up" mentality; he tends to play more cautiously. This is just based on his performance at Worlds though-he’s usually pretty strong in the LCK.
