2024 Elections | Zuma not eligible to go to parliament

The Council for the Advancement of the South African Constitution says it welcomes the constitutional court ruling, that MK Party leader, and former President Jacob Zuma, is not eligible for election to parliament in the upcoming elections, later this month.
Yesterday, Zuma was disqualified from contesting the upcoming election as a National Assembly candidate.
The Constitutional Court clarified Section 47(1)(E) of the Constitution, as the IEC requested.
Zuma, however, remains the face of the uMkhonto weSizwe Party on the ballot paper.
