Ironically KZN's fall from grace coincided with Zuma's presidency where all his cronies got appointed to positions here. Up until 2014, eThekwini was the best performing municipality in South Africa. To be fair, a big majority of all politicians is corrupt in one way or the media. The difference becomes which side of the corruption fence you play for. Hence one side gets ever exposed by media while the other side is ever protected by media. Zuma and Ramaphosa are two sides of the same coin but the media focuses only on one of those sides.
