My notifications button does not work. I have been missing all this gold you have been giving your community. I will keep checking back. I would love to see how the schematic evolves. You design work is so amazing to me. I love it. Bless you for sharing your wisdom with us!!!
Thanks for the videos! Could you provide a link or file download for this particular version of the amp schematic? On Amp Garage forum there are a lot of confusing information.
I do, I think I linked them in the text below the video. I've also got them on the ampgarage.com/forum site Here's the link in case I somehow forgot: ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33721
This looks like a very exciting project. I looking forward to your project developing and your personalised tweaks. Can you include suppliers of things like your faceplate, and your transformer choices? Have fun!
Great project and a fantastic channel. Could you possibly direct me to a place to get the finished schematic? Hopefully with voltages shown. Thanks. Rob.
@@FrenchieFilms - I am referring to the single ended overdrive signature. The phase splitter gets balanced via feedback from the speaker output. That causes a-symmetrical overdrive that resembles the shound of an overdriven single-ended amp that adds character to the guitar amp in dynamics. Try to overdrive a hi-fi amp with truly balanced phase splitter and hear the difference.
Ahh yes Dumble's design of his amplifiers was pretty well known for it's overdrive tone. His "Overdrive Special" amps use some really cool techniques like LNFB as well as GNFB to shape tone. He worked with Ampeg for some time and they were pushing for more clean power like using ultra linear designs with special taps on the transformer at earlier winding ratios to make the screens a bit lower in voltages than the anodes of the power tubes as well. I believe some of those techniques were implemented in his Steel String Singer amplifiers that use cathode followers into the phase inverter to improve the clean headroom.

Thanks! I've also been slowed down on this build a ton but recently made progress. More to come soon

glad i made it here
I am as well!
Very cool project. I'd.love to try one eventually. Do you have a layout with resistor values by any chance ?

@@FrenchieFilms thanks bro !!!
Not a problem :)

Will do, absolutely. Thanks for watching!

Rob.
The schematic and layout are available on the Ampgarage forum. I think I might have it in the description.
@@FrenchieFilms Yup. I found them last night. Thanks again.
Hola, me encanta el proyecto, voy a estar pendiente!! Saludos
Muchas Gracias! Mi espanol no esta muy bien, pero google translate es muy facil :D
@@FrenchieFilms jaja thanks for the replay!!!
Power supply for the B+ looks a little fishy. I'd expect to see one more tap on the HV winding that's connected to ground.
Yeah I didn't remember to add that. My apologies, but I've been trying to catch any errors. I'll correct that one.
Interesting. Single ended overdrive?
Single Ended? This is a push pull output... or are you referring to something else being single ended?
