Hey everyone, did you just watch the Supergirl Season 2 finale? What did you think of that final episode and what was your favourite moment in Season 2?
The title for the Girl who has everything is a nice reference to the classic storyline from Alan Moore for The man who has everything where Mongul infected Superman with the Black Mercy Parasite as Non did to Supergirl.
Flicks And The City It was a good finale I loved Cat at the end knowing Kara was Supergirl AGAIN and that baby flying from Kripton might be Doomsday, but the way Rhea died was so Like Voldemort in the movies and was kinda dumb to see her made dust and I really want to know if Mon-El went on purpose through that hole in space or not and where did he go, he better be back because Karamel
I liked how in the finale Cat Grant said that she's never seen Star Wars. It's funny because Calista Flockhart is married to Harrison Ford AKA Hans Solo.
TwilightfanNumber 2nd time they've made a season penultimate/finale Cat Grant/ Star Wars reference Season 1: Cat Grant walks into her office and seeing Kara as Supergirl but not noticing the costume asks Kara to ask Harrison Ford to trying to date her (Cat) As we all know as a joke and ref. Calista is married to him
Cat also mentions Rob Lowe (with whom Calista Flockhart co-starred on "Brothers and Sisters") as one of her prospective husbands during her chat with Kara.
there was a Batman reference in another episode, when during a fight in the streets, some pedestrians get out of the way of some falling ruble. they say after that they should go back to Gotham. i thought the finale was epic, the fight between Superman and Supergirl was just as good if not better than some big screen superhero fights, the budget for that episode must have been huge.
If you didn’t notice on the first episode Otto binder bridge was what the plane scraped against and the person who created the “character” Kara Zor-els name was Otto binder
I liked when Clark said in the finale he learned that move from Warworld. Nice little nod especially cuz Supergirl and Superman teamed up then as well.
GREAT video Jan!! god I love Tyler as Superman and Chris as Mon El!! where did Mon El end up going because lookslikesomeone intervened and stole hike away?? loving your bodes and can't wait to see your flash finale/ Easter eggs video!! gonna keep supporting ya!
I loved the fight between Superman and Supergirl. I truly felt sorry for Mon-El having to leave :( and Kara being left to think that love isn't for her
I haven't seen Supergirl's season finale yet, but it's so tempting to watch this video.. I'll be back in few hours after I get done with that finale :D
I do not know if this counts as a reference but in the episode super girl lives when Winn is at the portal he saying I am not a red shirt to reassure himself as in the trope of Star Trek where if you have a red shirt you are most likely to die and also when Winn attacks that alien with a rock I just got a flash back to that infamous scene of Kirk fighting an alien by throwing a big rock at it.
what I really wanna know is what was in that pod at the end of the finale, I was thinking doomsday because they referred to the baby as "it" but I doubt it really is him
So many Easter eggs! Every time they said "Up up and away" I smiled like crazy XD And I really liked the one with Lynda Carter and the Invisible Jet - actually paused the episode for 5 mins to laugh Oh and it's not really an easter egg, but when Cat called team supergirl "attractive yet non-threatening cast of a CW show" ;P
When Kara talks in the Bar about Guardian, as he appert (don't know the Episode) she said, that her Cousin workes once with a Vigilant and he had cool Gadgets too. A Batman Referenz?
I thought season 2 was much better than season 1, as the action kept me more involved. Not sure what to make of Mon-El's leaving at the end. I don't feel as if the character was developing much, so I won't miss him as part of the story. If he does return, hopefully he'll be different, i.e. more interesting. Another YT video suggested that he could go to the future and join the Legion of Superheroes. So, when he does return, he'll have his costume and his powers will have been further developed. That would make more sense for using Mon-El in the show.
IMO, it'd be awesome if the musical became an annual thing. It never will since most people would probably be annoyed if it did but I'd be a fan. Duet was one of S2 of The Flash's best episodes.
xAdamBr I also would like that but with music meister being an actual villain (instead of the universe trying to help the writers) and it being set in either the flash his earth or supergirl her earth. You could see the characters reacting to their uncontrollable singing that way. (BTW I love Malcolm Merlin singing put a little love in your heart so much)
Hi Miranda, congratulations you're one of the winners in my Arrowverse giveaway! Can you either private message me via TH-cam or send me an email at flicksandthecity@gmail.com with your name + address?
And also, the 'Superman Lives' film was the one that Kevin Smith was paid to write a script for Producer John Peters. It was very different and a departure from the Superman mythos. That script was replaced by Tim Burton and a new script was written, featuring Nick Cage as Superman.
The fact that Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To herself calls Kara: Supergirl Confirming she 100% knows even with the Kara & J'onn J'onzz-fake supergirl trick they pulled last season I gotta say since her reappearance in the penultimate episode of Season 2 the super-cringe worthy feeling of supergirl aka Kara and vice Verda being in the room and how stupidly obvious it is And Cat not getting it was as said before was super cringey Finally glad it was confirmed- like even her seeing Guardian and like 0-60 mph in 0.5 seconds figuring out it was James (with little insight of the dumbbells in the office and being able to see his eyes) was super annoying when comparing Cat to Kara Otherwise it was a brilliant, episode, season and hope the awesome continues and moving to the cw has helped ease the crossover pressures between Supergirl (Earth 38) & The Flash (Earth 1) (as well as the other Arrowverse shows, which are all awesome btw)
I love supergirl but I think the villains of the show are weak (by arrowverse standards) cuz all the other arrowverse villains are so good. Also I don't really like Jimmy Olson in this show cuz they made him to different from the comics and his whole wanna be a hero story was boring. Also supergirl has a trend of making weird dorky characters hot guys (Jimmy Olson and Mr Mxyzptlk)

Thanks so much Despicable mavis shake! 😍
Awesome, that's a really cool easter egg. Thanks Raghu! 😀

The subtle references to things in this show is so DANG FUN/COOL! I just love how much attention to detail there is!
I'm so excited to see Season 3, I loved all the references to Batman and wonder woman
there was a Batman reference in another episode, when during a fight in the streets, some pedestrians get out of the way of some falling ruble. they say after that they should go back to Gotham. i thought the finale was epic, the fight between Superman and Supergirl was just as good if not better than some big screen superhero fights, the budget for that episode must have been huge.

Awesome pick up on the references, Lynda Carter and the Invisible Jet were probably my favourites, can't wait for Season 3!
I loved all the wonder woman nods. and I love the fact that Cat Grant knows about Kyra
I liked when Clark said in the finale he learned that move from Warworld. Nice little nod especially cuz Supergirl and Superman teamed up then as well.
I have to say that I only noticed the Wonder woman easter eggs because my mom and I loved to watch that show. So those are definetely my favorite! 👍
I remember in one of the first episodes supergirl saved a family, and as supergirl was leaving the father said "we are moving back to Gotham"

I bet Batman is going to be karas love
I don´t think so
morelia uuh yea me to
I haven't seen Supergirl's season finale yet, but it's so tempting to watch this video.. I'll be back in few hours after I get done with that finale :D
You're very good at finding Easter eggs! I only found like 4 or 5
I do not know if this counts as a reference but in the episode super girl lives when Winn is at the portal he saying I am not a red shirt to reassure himself as in the trope of Star Trek where if you have a red shirt you are most likely to die and also when Winn attacks that alien with a rock I just got a flash back to that infamous scene of Kirk fighting an alien by throwing a big rock at it.
season 3 can't come soon enough
what I really wanna know is what was in that pod at the end of the finale, I was thinking doomsday because they referred to the baby as "it" but I doubt it really is him
I never noticed any of these cause super girl was what got me hooked on D.C. Comics
So many Easter eggs! Every time they said "Up up and away" I smiled like crazy XD And I really liked the one with Lynda Carter and the Invisible Jet - actually paused the episode for 5 mins to laugh
Oh and it's not really an easter egg, but when Cat called team supergirl "attractive yet non-threatening cast of a CW show" ;P
PenguvinEden but that was season 1
MUD Ω Dammit I forgot lol.. well I still like it, and thanks for the correction!
the season finale was epic. hope the flash and arrow will do well too
Where is Mon-el headed in the finale?!?
Ace Salonga we'll find out sometime in season 3
When Kara talks in the Bar about Guardian, as he appert (don't know the Episode) she said, that her Cousin workes once with a Vigilant and he had cool Gadgets too.
A Batman Referenz?
is it bad id love to see CW do batman and put him in super girl as a cameo ?
no that would be great!
Massive improvement over season 1's finale. That one was a mess. This one really pulled on your heartstrings. D':
I cried the final episode of season ll of supergirl, broke my heart.
I liked all the Easter eggs that you showed me
The two part finale was very strong writing. I hope this voice continues for Supergirl.
Great video, I hope Mon-El is back next season! Who did you think the baby was at the end that they teased?
I thought season 2 was much better than season 1, as the action kept me more involved.

Nice! Can't wait for season 3
Can't wait for the new supergirl season to come out

So excited that Katie McGrath is a S3 regular. I need more Kara and Lena scenes. Also...I can't wait to see what happens with Sanvers in S3.
Hi Miranda, congratulations you're one of the winners in my Arrowverse giveaway! Can you either private message me via TH-cam or send me an email at flicksandthecity@gmail.com with your name + address?
Flicks And The City just sent you the email now!
that was my favorite episode of anything ever
This season improved from last one !!
So many easter eggs that flew by me!
I love the Gotham reference
I wonder how many new eggs and cameos will occur next season!
And also, the 'Superman Lives' film was the one that Kevin Smith was paid to write a script for Producer John Peters. It was very different and a departure from the Superman mythos. That script was replaced by Tim Burton and a new script was written, featuring Nick Cage as Superman.
Can't wait till season 3
it would be awesome to win one of the superheroes, Jan ! ××××
most of these I didn't even know what they were referencing to
oh and if we don't get to choose which funko pop we get (if we get one, hard pick, many people) I would prefer supergirl
I can't wait for season 3
uhhh why is maggie a spanish woman? did they confuse her with rene montoya?
I can't wait
these boots are made for walking awesome promo for #wonderwoman
It was okay, the fighting fell flat to me, the character stuff was way better. Overall maybe a 6.5-7/10? Looking forward to next season tho!
It was a great season!
I think it's doom day is coming to season 3 on supergirl
Prediction: there will be the offspring of Lena and Mon-El that will look exactly like Mon-El.

Actually one of my favorite parts of the season is the fact that they've actually included more heroes and it
Sorry but im still don´t like Tyler Hoechlin as superman...
I love supergirl but I think the villains of the show are weak (by arrowverse standards) cuz all the other arrowverse villains are so good.
