- How old is this wooden carved and painted angel sculpture. Where was she made and why? All of this our contestants must work out and then for £100 put a value on the piece. If she gets it right, she wins the £100!
Newark Antiques Fair is the biggest of its kind in Europe. You’ll find all the dates in the link below, but you must visit if you can. Take the day to wander around, there’s loads of free parking, plenty of toilet facilities and lots of food vendors. Indoor and outdoor pitches, so whatever the weather, you’ll be fine! I’ll probably see you there!

I'd have figured late 19th century ship's mascot at first glance, but the back says she's a lot older and was always indoors, so 1700 is probably right. I was low too - 2250 - by a lot. That said, she looks like she sang in Italian to me too. Pieces have always moved about, and she's got literal wings so could have hopped a border or two.
Incredible how these things move around the world and change use. Originally highly religious and yet now, she’s become interior design
Guessing 17th century, French, £5,000. No idea.
My guess on price was to top heavy.
But I love it. It wouldn't surprise me if it sold for more than my guess

IT LOOKS very French more south of France , and indeed very old, price wise yes rare piece to have to be sold so understandable !
