Sounds like the entertainment system was not wired with safety in mind. If a wire shorts out it should instantly pop a breaker so the wiring can’t get red hot to the point the copper melts. Kinda surprised they don’t have a c02 system to put out fires

They said the Australian couple that tracked down the electrical problem w the door didnt accept a financial settlement but rather had the airlines start a fund for others to go to college. Awesome people.

As much as I admire the Campbells’ tenacity, I feel upset that they went and basically stole all those documents from the NTSB hearing. Those are the official investigators, you can’t just take their evidence. How do you know they even had copies? That’s the one thing that really upsets me about their actions.
Maybe all air pilots need yearly training, and no matter what declare emergency immediately and if the air masks would have a lead line so they can get up and move about.
What a tragic waste of life of this young man and the 8 othersthat were killed, what an impact, what a loss, they spent ahell of alot more in the end then they'd have in preventing this fromhappening😞
the utter stupidity of those swiss air pilots is off the charts. That episode was like watching the bugs bunny road runner hour. An absolute abomination against those passengers. And this episodes attempts and excuses to cover up the pilots mistakes was deplorable.
Boeing yet again, money before safety will these manufacturers ever learn ? This type of door opening out is a similar fault on the DC 10 that also cost many live.. After the latest Boeing disasters I would not trust the NTSB or the Boeing management, in my opinion the NTSB are to much in the pockets of Boeing.

How did the NTSB weather animation contribute to understanding the circumstances surrounding the crash?
I truly admire what the Campbells did to bring accountability the airlines NTSB and to ensure their son’s tragic death was not in vain.
