hands down my favorite headlamp.... but then again I dont hike at night. This thing is perfect for camp use and finding myself a bathroom spot in the middle of the night. Good review.
@Commentboy5000 I have found that I really prefer headlamps over flashlights simply because they are hand free and where ever I am looking, well so is the light! As far as this lamp, it is a solid little light in just about every way. I will have to get used to a less amount of light though, but that was to be expected.
Have you ever tried the CountyComm Maratac™ AAA Flashlight Rev 2? It's pretty popular and I use it as an EDC on my keychain. 115 lumens at 20g. It has a clip that you can use to clip it on to your hat too.
I have the E-Lite too, and its decent for use as a emergency light (which its designed for) you should check out the foursevens P1 aka 4sevens preon1, 27 grams including 1 aaa-battery, max 60 lumens, waterproof to IPX8 standard (better than the E-lite) lots of usable modes (really low brightness, medium, high, strobe, SOS, and beacon modes to help you find your backpack or tent at night. no headband but it has a pocket clip which can be used to clip it to the corner of a cap -continued
I understood that it was an "emergency" light when I got it, but I had read in multiple places where people use these as a full time light, so I figured trying it would be the only way for me to figure out if it would work for me. In the end, it did not... so it is now retired... I keep a Photon light in my kit and IMO, it is a much better option than the e+LITE, at least for emergencies!
I just hold it with my mouth since its tiny and light for small chores, or attach the pocket clip to my beltloop on my side since I dont use a cap you can also save the weight of a lantern since its able to tailstand (standard flat tailcap) or use the pocket clip to hang from a tentloop, I personally use a small diffuser in the form of a chapstick cap I drilled out to make it a "real" lantern no red light BUT with your skill you could probably make a cap to put on it that makes it a red light
So I don't have PayPal and my wife said she has not used her account in years and can't remember account info. Would you accept a money order? However, no matter what I do want to buy it! I am in Rhode Island
Please do not blow a whistle on video. It is a whistle and it makes the same noise as all other rescue whistles. It is extremely loud over the video and is unkind to your viewers using headphones. If you are aware of the decibel level, just state that. I apologize if I am coming off as rude, that is not my intention. Just trying to let you know.
It's all good. I do enjoy your videos. I wrote that when I was still upset about it blowing up in my headphones. In future reviews, could you give like a 3 - 5 second pause after announcing that you will blow the whistle. Like I said, I do enjoy your videos.

Solid review, I dislike headlamps but your review of this light makes me seriously want to give this a try. Thanks again!
Great review! Think i'm going to pick one up! I like the stand/clip idea! Thanks for sharing!

It's classed as an emergency light, so not really meant for nigh trekking with. I've had one for a few years now and it's in my kit just in case.

Sorry that was typed with too many distractions. Would you be willing to sell the light or the case? I am looking for the older model that you have.
Chad, you continuing to use this light and if not are you willing sell it and if not would you be willing to sell the case?
