Woohoo! Nearly done with Oathbringer. I should hopefully have time to finish the 2nd novella and 4th novel by the time Wind and Truth comes out. I've never felt more anticipation of a book release.
@@seththomas6727 that's awesome! I'm enjoying learning more about Odium and the knights radiant. The audiobook is key because I can listen in the car. These books are so freaking long! Haha
I love the cover! Very epic, and I love the color scheme! I think it’s one of my favorites! I can’t believe you almost missed the RPG, though! I’ve never played one but I gladly backed it to get a Roshar Worldguide, the canon (!) Stonewalkers adventure, a Scadrial Worldguide, and the canon (!) Mistborn Legacy adventure! And they’ll keep expanding these to more adventures and more planets!
The cover is not Adolin, that’s just something a couple people on reddit came up with because of yellow light hitting him from the front and reddits low picture quality. If you look at the back that’s in shadow its a greyish black. Micheal Whelan revealed that it would be Dalinar even before the finished cover was finished.
Interestingly, I think the cover to Wind and Truth might be my favorite Stormlight cover. I’m not totally sure why- maybe it’s the colors, maybe it’s the mountains (I love me some mountains), but it makes me want to stare at the cover for ages in a way the others don’t quite match.
I thought I was going crazy for thinking Dalinar looks tiny in the cover. Also not a fan of his ballet leg and the balcony seems a tad bare. Otherwise I love the colours and as usual the storm looks great
I don’t have the money to back the Cosmere RPG right now, but I can’t wait to get my hands on the world books in the future. One of my favorite Cosmere fan artists worked on it, and I love her work. And someday I’m sure I will be able to get some people together to try out the RPG, it just might be a while.
I think this is the best cover since WoK. WoR had goofy looking human illustrations, Oathbringer lacked color diversity and, in conttast to Oathbringer, RoW was too busy. I absolutely love thjs one. An epic scene, nice colors, and small pops of color upon further inspection
I am reasonably certain that that’s Dalinar on the Cover, and I don’t think he has blond hair here. I think his hair is Grey, and being illuminated with golden light from the front, which makes sense given the rest of the artwork.
You like the previous 4 better? This one looks badass! I still like The Way of Kings the most but this is 2nd on my list… followed by Words of Radiance, Oathbringer, and Rythm of War
lol. That's one of the first things I noticed, the character being smaller than the other characters on the other covers. Makes me want to rank the other covers higher. Still a great cover though.
I don’t think it’s Adolin. I think it’s just the lighting of the cover brightening up Dalinar’s dark hair. You can even see the grey hair on the side of his head if you look closely.
SPOILERS AHEAD I believe it is Adolin. 3:40 - Adolin IS his father, although he doesn't want to accept it yet, because he is afraid of being someone who could kill their own wife. However he is his father through and through, and he already is on that path - dealt with turmoil by killing his enemy which is Sadeas. Couldn't be more Da Blackthorlinar than that :)
I felt the same way too, and it's still a valid point, but I also realized that the covers are set up like a ketek .. just like how the titles were suppose to be. This made it a little better for me.
The red book and the blue one above it are the deluxe collector editions of Fate of Wizardoms by Jeffrey L. Kohanek! They are really beautiful editions
if it was Adolin, it could imply that Dalinar will lose the battle against Odium early on in the book, probably the end of Part 1, then Adolin had to come up and take his place. I strongly believe it's Dalinar because it FEELS like Dalinar, and the hair looks more grey in the setting sun than it does blonde to me.
I know that this comment is not related to this video, but I really wanted to recommend the Shahnameh book to you. The subject of the Shahnameh is the myths and history of Iran from the beginning to the Arab invasion of Iran in the 7th century AD. But the Shahnameh is not a completely historical book and contains three mythological, heroic and historical parts. And because books with fantasy genre are rarely found in Iranian literature. I decided to recommend Shahnameh to you to know your professional opinion about this book. Please share your opinion about Shahnameh. It means a lot to me.
Hello i am getting back into sci-fi and /or fantasy reading after a 20 year absence, it is a bit overwhelming to be honest, but I was wondering if there was a list or any recommendations for really good sci-fi and or fantasy that does not contain rape as an act actually committed in the story ( before the story stars as part of the back story of a character is ok, mentioning that it happened is ok but no details, no incest) you know just no active senes...I have been trying to get back into this genre a little at a time but many of the series that come recommend seem to be prolific in this content. Thank you for any help you can give me.....
Will probably be late for the party, I'm a slow reader and I'm only around 3/4 way through Oathbringer and I have Dawnshard which I'm planning to read before RoW.
The series is going to be 10 books in total but split into 5 book arcs. So this book is the end of the first arc, but there will be 5 more Stormlight books eventually
I am not a native english speaker but i understand english and can even watch english movies with subtitles,i am decent in english but whenever imtry to read these fantasy novels or any type novels books i just cannot understand it sometimes,so any body have any advice how to be a good reader i mean i want to understand these books, just help me i am passionate in book reading
Loved Dalinar's pose, instantly very iconic with him holding a book instead of a sword and all very true to his character, but this is the weakest Stormlight cover so far
To be honest, this one feels too generic and too much like first one. My top 5 covers are: Oathbringer, The way of kings, Rhythm of war, Words of radience and Wind and truth (shout out to rhythm of war fo being the most unique out of the 5. The other 4 are just a little too "rocky").
Mom: What are you watching?
Me: News
Woohoo! Nearly done with Oathbringer. I should hopefully have time to finish the 2nd novella and 4th novel by the time Wind and Truth comes out. I've never felt more anticipation of a book release.
Dude I literally finish Oathbringer two days ago and just started Dawnshard! Let’s go man.
hell yeah that's awesome! Oathbringer was such a slog for me but RoW was a nice return to form
@@seththomas6727 that's awesome! I'm enjoying learning more about Odium and the knights radiant. The audiobook is key because I can listen in the car. These books are so freaking long! Haha
@@gizzardgizzard3583 yeah parts of oathbringer have been a slog for sure and could have benefitted from more editing.
Same spot im in!
My son & I have our own book club with this series! SO excited!
Now that is a good parent! That's awesome! 😁
It is dalinar, michael whelan talks about it on the reveal article on the deagonsteel website
Ahh I missed that! Glad it is confirmed
Why doe he have long blond hair? I thought the Adolian theory made sense in that regard.
He has grey hair. The loght is just reflecting off of it, making it look blonde.
Your way of kings summary is honestly the best one out there, take all the time you need with the others.
seconded
Praying those come out at some point, such an awesome video

I. Am. So. Excited! For the Wind and Truth book!!!!
I do like the cover!! Happy reading 🎉
I love how Dalinar is holding The Way of Kings dragonsteel special edition 😂😂😂 very classic.
The cover is gorgeous! I can't wait! ❤
That has to be Dalinar. He's literally holding the leatherbound version of The Way of Kings
Love that cover as well! Not really sure which ones my fave. Maybe Way of Kings or Words of Radiance but honestly I love them all!

The book Dalinar holds is the Way Of Kings Dragonsteel Special Edition!
Wait... is it!?? If it is that is really cool!
Yes! Zoom in!

Yesss, I need that RoW summary!

TWoK is my favorite cover. I love the mix of coloring in both the foreground and background.
Aside from RoW and WoR, this is the third best. I think it’s beautiful.
looks beautiful
Loved all of them except for Rythm of War. That book was torturous for me. Hope this one delivers!
I think this is the best cover since WoK. WoR had goofy looking human illustrations, Oathbringer lacked color diversity and, in conttast to Oathbringer, RoW was too busy. I absolutely love thjs one. An epic scene, nice colors, and small pops of color upon further inspection
When will you read Doors of Stone?
I like this cover a lot! I prefer smaller characters and bigger set peices in my art though, I think
The cover is really growing on me
I need the Stormlight recaps!!!!
Words of Radiance summary should be up in Sept
I am reasonably certain that that’s Dalinar on the Cover, and I don’t think he has blond hair here.
I think his hair is Grey, and being illuminated with golden light from the front, which makes sense given the rest of the artwork.
Ahhh that could definitely be the case!

Ahh I think you're right!
The supports for the balcony look like the hilts of Heralds' honorblades stabbed down in a circle from the Preface of Way of Kings
Wow, it looks great! This makes me curious what the UK cover is gonna look like though 🤔
I can't believe I am going to get 5 books of SLA before I got Doors of Stone.
The hair could also just appear to be blonde because of the light
"Tor has been edgedancing us.." 😅
SPOILERS AHEAD
I believe it is Adolin.
3:40 - Adolin IS his father, although he doesn't want to accept it yet, because he is afraid of being someone who could kill their own wife.

Couldn't be more Da Blackthorlinar than that :)
I just started The Way of Kings and already had to put the book down after Part 1. Part 1!! I cried on the fucking prologue 🥲
Kaladin's double paths? Whats that
Dalinar on the cover is confirmed.
My Stormlight cover rankings:
1. Rhythm of War
2. Way of Kings
3. Wind of Truth
4. Oathbringer
5. Words of Radiance
Is that Dalinar?
It is confirmed to be Dalinar by Sanderson/Whelan. The book in his hand is the leatherbound edition of WoK
Notice how Dalinar was holding the Dragonsteel edition of TWoK? Yes, clearly bondsmiths are paid well because dude upgraded.
Looks nice but I feel like the color scheme is too similar to previous ones.
This is exactly it. I really hoped for something purple or green maybe? But it looks a lot like the others.
I felt the same way too, and it's still a valid point, but I also realized that the covers are set up like a ketek .. just like how the titles were suppose to be. This made it a little better for me.
Still waiting for Winds of Winter 😢
@@Lycan3303 🥲☹️🥺😭

Yes! Please tell us. And the blue one above it too
The red book and the blue one above it are the deluxe collector editions of Fate of Wizardoms by Jeffrey L. Kohanek! They are really beautiful editions
Where can I pre order this cover to the UK?
If you want a gm to try the game, I am going to run the level 1 beta test soon with friends online. Let me know if you would like to play.

The cover is great I just wish dalinar were closer… he seems small compared with the other characters
100% agree! That stood out to me too

this cover is unironically my favorite. TWOK is 2nd the other 3 are tied for 1st. just dalinar's pose (and dumptruck ofc)
