Do you know how much joy you bring other people who may not be able to get to places you travel to? We experience it vicariously through you. ♥️. Thank you for sharing 😊💕 You are wonderful and generous people. God bless you. ♥️🙏
Our exact sentiments. Tied down to jobs and sticks/bricks and want to get out for adventure. Life interruptus and other circumstances. Bought a couple more shirts and added a tip to help with your adventure.
My father was born in Houghton, MI which you probably drove through heading up to Copper Harbor. Later in his life he and I started taking lighthouse vacations. We drove around each of the Great Lakes from light to light and sightseeing in between. We even took the boat ride from Grand Portage National Monument in Minnesota out to Isle Royale National Park.. There are some great trails on the island and we saw moose and foxes as we roamed around. BTW, Brockway Mountain Lookout was my dad's favorite place to visit and just hang out there looking at the miles and miles of scenery.
I live south of Copper Harbor. Yep, Keweenaw Brewery is here. If you into beer, try the blonde beer . Currently all camp grounds are filled now. Next time you might want to check out Sunset Camp Grounds at 7-mile Point Camp grounds, it is rate on Lake Superior. So you want a light house. White City and McLain State Park you can walk part of the way, but then you have to climb the rocks all the way to the light house.. You should have asked a local.. Us locals go all the time.. White City is also really neat. You have to go to where the entries are and you will find Lighthouses.. Another lighthouse is at Eagle Harbor. My Girlfriend has a shop on the grounds of that lighthouse.. just ask Ann.. she will know. If you go to the top of Brockway Mountain.. That is where the crazy bike trails start going down the side of the mountain. In the town of Copper Harbor there is a bike shop that will take you and your bike to the top and drop you off for a fee, and pick you up at the bottom.. Check TH-cam for videos of that downhill Mountain biking.. It is a world class downhill biking trail. Not for the faint of heart.. If you do not know what you are doing you can get hurt.. th-cam.com/video/oGYlkgwQCSg/w-d-xo.html The lake by the Fort is Lake Fanny Hoe. And by the way you did not go to the top of Brockway Mountain. That is where the bike trails are.
Sorry doin' a little catching up guys..I went to Northern Michigan in Marquette..but never made it up to Copper Harbor! I love that Afghanistan stove! Well done ✅
Wow! Still able to wear long sleeves(flannel) and pants! COOL! Another beautiful place to call home for a little while! It's always nice to share time with friends! Safe travels till next time🌞!
We loved finally getting to visit Copper Harbor and so many beautiful spots in the Keweenaw Peninsula during Fall of 2021. It's even prettier up there with fall colors all around the Copper Country... we have also been to most of the 129 lighthouses in Michigan and they are so pretty in their own way. Eagle Harbor is another great little town with an iconic lighthouse not far from Copper Harbor.
Love the vlog. Love your cooking segments, so gourmet camp cuisine. We grew up using pressure cookers, I love your Afghan pressure cooker, plan on getting one someday to add to my multi fuel cooking equipment. We always would joke that whoever got the bay leaf had to do dishes, but alas we kids rotated on a schedule. God forbid our stay at home mom had to do them, or cook for that matter. Lol She wasn't great at cooking, but having every cookbook known to man, all of us grew into great and elaborate home cooks, able to make virtually and type of cuisine. Those books and many years of practice. Even my brothers learned to cook although they were never required to take a night for dinner prep. Good times.
I can tell you are having a wonderful time! I enjoy seeing all of the wonderful places you are going and even more, that you are having a LOT of fun!!! Thanks for sharing all of these wonderful places and things that you are experiencing!
Love that campground beautiful 🌳. I think that is the best interactive historical fort I have ever seen! So well done, I’m a total history nerd, and enjoyed the displays so much. I love y’all’s unscripted vlog style, free flowing and fun just like y’all’s personalities ❤️. I really, really enjoy following your journey, thanks for taking me along❤️.
You're so lucky to be in that area with that fantastic weather! We'll be on Minnesota N. Shore later part of August if we survive heat/drought in NWA! Enjoyed video!
Head down to Eagle Harbor. About 20 minutes. There is a lighthouse there that you can tour. Also drive to the north end of highway 41 and keep going until you hit high rock and/or the Keweenaw Rocket Range. You won’t be disappointed!
Love your videos! 🥰😍 and the cooking is bonus content. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to many more videos. Enjoy your journey. 😊 (Thumbs up for the Afghan pressure cooker 👍🏼)
You both do such a great job giving us the tour of where ever you stay. You take us on the adventures with you and the local sights. Love your videos! Thank you so much!
Again, I am SO happy to watch you enjoy and share this beautiful state. We have traveled every state in USA and Michigan is our favorite. And our favorite backpacking spot is found at the end of a ferry ride from Copper Harbor! If you can swing it, Isle Royale is breathtaking! Love your videos!!!
Kelly it was nice to see you narrating more of the video than usual today! Especially in the baking hall. You seemed to be having a lot of fun. My kids were just back there visiting in-laws and went to Mackinac Island. Enjoy the rest of your trip. Be extra careful of ticks while in the UP they can get bad.
FUDGE!!!! Hope you got some of each!!! Copper harbor is one of our favorite places.. we live in Western Minnesota. We even love the ride there it's just beautiful. Happy you enjoyed it we do 😊
So happy you made it up to Copper Harbor, maybe on your way back down check out the town of Calumet - some interesting history in that town. Glad you are finding friends along your journey, and what a pretty site to camp. Love you guys
Glad you made it to the Keweenaw Peninsula! When you were last in Iron Mountain, I thought you'd move on to Wisconsin. So glad you made it to the Harbor! My son rides in all the Bike Events from up there to Marquette and he even went to Arkansas a few years back bike riding. Don't miss the beautiful "west coast" of Lake Superior when you head back down. Very scenic drive with some open beach areas!
I am a fan of light houses Thanks for showing all the ones I haven’t seen In 2019 I went for Texas to New York all the way in the outer banks But COVID stopped me so I appreciate your videos immensely If you go to Maine in the fall don’t miss the bubble light in York
What a well preserved and well presented fort. Loved the 'hands on' experience. You guys really brought it all alive. 👍 PS: When I work at fishing that bay leaf out of the pot from now on ... I will think of Cody. 😅🍃
Thank u guys for sharing are beautiful areas i just found u guys video the great u.p of Michigan. I live here and enjoy going to harbor. Did u guys ever get to jam pot and stuff try thimbleberry jam
That was a super cool video and inspired me to revisit Michigan's UP. Your spaghetti 🍝 looked amazing, Kelly. Spaghetti is my number one comfort food. As a bachelor I make it on Sunday and a pot of it will last me all week. Same with chili. I have to remember to add red wine to mine next time I prepare it. I love Texas garlic toasted bread with spaghetti and chili.
Wildflowers always or beautiful like the fort supper looked really good breakfast sandwiches look yummy have a great rise Oh by the way saw the DomeLife sticker at the brewery did you just give that to them?
So enjoying your adventures in MI! ..we did not spend nearly enough time when we were there so we're gonna make sure we don't have a timeline when we go back. We really like hitting the local history too.
Can you talk about the trailer wheel boot? I understand the necessity but am interested in the brand and fitment etc. Please? Thank you for another great episode and the historical tour.
I am a longtime fan!! LOVE you guys!! But I need y’all’s advice! Ladies’ camping trip, middle of September in Arkansas- where should we go!? I have my eye on #17 Lake DeGray, but any creeks?? Thanks in advance!
We’ve been watching you for a couple years and we have still never seen the atomic chicken video? The pressure cooker was also new to us? I’ll check out their video because their chairs looked really comfy!
This is way off topic, but recently I found out that because I don't wear sunglasses when I'm outside I have some eye damage and some glaucoma starting. Since you all basically live outside you might consider wearing sunglasses when you're outdoors and it's bright out. Just a thought. I used to only wear them whenever I was out doing summer activities, but now I wear them in the car and to and from the grocery store, etc. I never gave it much thought before. 🤷♀
you didnt say anything about the bears. the fort campground is noted for them hence the "bear proof" trash can you walked by 😊 someone asked about thimbleberry jelly did get any trenary toast? thx for documenting your visit to our state. come back again
A lot of copper was also mined from the general area by Kings David and Solomon of ancient Israel. The modern day Jews are not and have never been Israel.Their only connection to Israel is through Esau.
Do you know how much joy you bring other people who may not be able to get to places you travel to? We experience it vicariously through you. ♥️. Thank you for sharing 😊💕 You are wonderful and generous people. God bless you. ♥️🙏
That’s exactly right. I met them a couple weeks ago in Marquette and it’s awesome to see them still exploring the places that I wish I could.
So true, I just love these videos
I agree!
I agree🌲💚

Pressure cookers "infuse" the flavors together.
I recognized Big Daddy right away and couldn’t help but think how thankful he probably was that dinner was not Mexican. lol.

Floatin' rivers.....Killin' livers? Now thats funny.
