    Pionk should be benched. The biggest problem is they auto dump pucks at red line. Keep possession.

    • @Bomber_Boi
      @Bomber_Boi 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not every rush can be a successful puck possession at the blue line. If they gap up, dump it in behind the D. If not, carry it in

    • @Tlilancalqui
      @Tlilancalqui 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wonder what a Dilly, Stan-man line would look like. Honestly, if Stan can clean up a few things, he could bring some life to that blue line. Pionk is so choke.

    • @Tlilancalqui
      @Tlilancalqui 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      As for dumping at the line - if the other team is setup and ready sometimes that's the only way in. Usually if the puck has already reached the red-line and it's not a fast break out, then there's not much left. But if you don't have a chance at fore-checking that puck, then you are just wasting time by dumping it in. So to your point, if you waste time, time will waste you - it's bad luck to let time slip off the clock for nothing.

    As one poster said in the chat yesterday:
    "This is the problem when you are not an elite team playing a great system. When the system fails you don’t have the elite skill game breakers to win the game regardless of the system failing."
    That rings true. This team is the prime example of a system team. When they play the system to perfection, they can beat anyone. But when the system breaks down, they have a hard time ad-libbing and making it happen. The Jets can't win games in different ways. They can't outscore their problems.

    • @Tlilancalqui
      @Tlilancalqui 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is because the current system isn't fun, and it's not fun because it's scripted to eliminate all potential problems. This means that people are unprepared when they have to make important decisions, so they whiff it. You can't turn on engagement, or bottle your fire, without freedom you lose that spark. "Creativity is essentially an individual rather than a collective activity.” When you have a system that can snuff out your thoughts, and makes you play a team game, it's ok if you suck, or are basically a grinder, but if you are someone like Perfetti, you need to be able to think. That's why fetts could score after taking a couple days off. Solitude is one of the most important things for getting your mojo going again. But to keep it going you need to be able to have that fire going and not have it snuffed out. To do this guys like Connor or Fetts would need to be able to tell Bones to suck a dick.

    The lines that work well together , KEEP THEM TOGETHER , you should experiment in the early part of the season NOT NOW , at this rate they’ll get blown out in the first round ! They don’t have a full house at a lot of their games at home and fans are tired of a losing team the attendance will just get smaller and may end up playing elsewhere ,I don’t they realize what could be at steak here !

    We were assured when we started panicking in Feb that the slump this year was different. "This year's Jets aren't last years Jets. We're top defensive team in the league. Fewest goals against." Those statements didn't age very well. Panic it is, then. Add to that Toffoli and Monaghan have disappeared and Vallardi injured. Oy. Another 1st-round exit coming up. And that's IF we make the playoffs. Oh, and better start LB more or risk Helle losing his vagina, oops, I mean "Vezina".

  • @pomerlain8924
    @pomerlain8924 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    It's not that they're losing, but it's how they're losing. The bulk of their losses since the start of this new year have not been close. It'd be one thing if they're losing 3-2 or 2-1 games. But the fact his they've had several no-show performances. I can count off 4 no-show performances in the past month alone. Their effort is not consistent each game. That's a problem. And too many times, this team falls behind, and it's over. Dillon called the team out after the New Jersey loss. How does the team respond? Get thoroughly outplayed by the Isles in the first 2 periods, where at one point, the shots were 21-3. That's not good enough. And it's even more alarming that these performances followed a good road victory against the Rangers. It makes no sense to have that type of effort and play that well against one of the top teams in the league, and then completely crap the bed the next 3 games
    Right now, the Jets aren't doing anything to disprove that fraud comment. They're proving that comment to be true when you see the pathetic efforts the team put forth against the Devils and Islanders.

    This is the time of year when there are lots of teams that are playing hell's bells all-out hockey in a desperate attempt to climb above the playoff line, and there could very well be some holding back on the part of the players on teams that have already secured a spot, this because they may be wanting to minimize the risk of severe injury as no player wants to be taken out of the game for a prolonged period of time at this time of the year.

      This team is 14-12-1 since their streak of allowing 3-goals or less ended. And during that streak, they were +30 or something in goals scored. Now, they're even. 73 goals scored and 73 goals allowed. This has been a problem for the past two months now. And there's no sign of it improving.
      And no significant changes have been made to try to fix these issues, like breaking up Connor and Scheifele or changing the blue line pairings. The only changes they try to make is blending the lines to try to get a spark. That's not working and there's a real problem when you're having to blend lines almost every other game to get guys going. They enter the playoffs like this, it will be an early exit.

Since that time, they've lost 5-0 to Vancouver, 4-2 at home to the Preds in a game they were down 4-0, 4-1 to the Devils, 6-3 to the Isles and 3-0 to the Caps. And notice how the scores weren't close. Their effort is not consistent every game.
      Meanwhile, their division rivals are on heaters. The Stars came back from a 6-2 deficit, the Avs came back from a 3-0 and a 4-0 deficit to win games. The Jets fall behind, and save for the game against the Canes, they have no fight or belief to come back.
