These swing blade saw videos never seem to show more than the first 2/3 of the log being sawn. What happens when you get down to the last couple inches of that log? What holds it in place?
Well I can tell you it's not a conspiracy. The usual process is you cut a 6" x 2" wide notch in your support bunks. The log simply cradles into these. The two edges hold the sides of the log. When you get to the lowest point the only tendency is for the log to slide sideways to the left as this is the direction the blade is going. Because it sits within the two edges its impossible for the log to slide. Typically the log does not lift as its fighting against gravity in the vertical. That coupled with the fact that a single blade creates very little resistance.
You may be familiar with a twin saw which has a tendency for two blades to work together and throw the work peace. Swing mill is very different - in fact when sawing your bottom cut you can take your cuts in smaller (2 step) increments to further reduce the drag caused by the blade.

Thanks Jake! I didn't figure it was a conspiracy, just was odd none of the videos I watched showed it! lol
I wasn't sure how much drag the blade created. I'm used to bandsaws, which simply pull the last board to the left against the stops. But as the blade enters the wood, it can sometimes make the far end pivot to the right on short logs.
Looks like a giant radial arm saw still this is a nice mill

Still haven't seen what I was hoping to see from Turbo or Lucas Mill which is slabbing with a circular saw cutting horizontally done one side of the log and then horizontally down the opposite side of the log?

TheWaterman1000 only if the timber was to heavy and affecting the blade otherwise it’s advantageous vertical first.

thanks I just bought a used one and it's a 10 inch and I want u to give me the size of the same 2 belts that connects the engine pulley and gear box pulley (blade conne ct to)and the other one(1belt) that connects the engine pulley and the gearbox that moves engine front and backwards.Thanks I'll get in touch for further information .I live in Santo. They have trees and need building rough sawn lumber. Lucas gave Wranglerstar a mill to use for 2 years for advertisong. Great family..get a local owner to attend and split production. Take a 3 pt chipper and dump trailer.
