I saw a video on TH-cam doing overlock but not using a merrow MG-3U, what do you think? like using a modified machine but the results are quite good. Thank You 🙏👌
So if you still have other finger thing, it might be possible to grind and buff the piece so as to make it work maybe. Might be worth a try. Very good to see you do this.
I purchased this part directly from Merrow. this part cost $70 and below is the information I received about putting the part into my machine. "you can use the 6-107-25 Fabric/Edge Guide in the M-3DW. You will need to remove the cutters and put the guide where the lower cutter goes in the machine"
I have this style Merrow machine and was thinking of converting to do patches. Yours looks great. Very encouraging.

Is there anyway to create this without stitch cams?
No way that I'm aware of.
It is very interesting video. Thanks for uploading. Do you know the part number of the patch edge guide you mentioned? Thanks in advance.

Perfect! Thanks a lot!
What do you think / what is your opinion of patch edging that isn’t on a MG-3U machine?
From what I understand after conversion The Edge is almost identical
I’m looking to get a professional overlock. If you kindly would illustrate me- every merrow can only do one type of stitch?
