The recent RBET Edison event showcases a few people in top 8 playing 3-6 draw traps (jar of greed and legacy) so people are now testing it in most decks. Also trap stun is becoming an increasingly popular sideboard option in Edison since the decks that keep topping are all heavy trap decks.

jar of greed won a sjc in long beach with the same princple but with several mask of darkness to resuse. there was really 3 versions of the deck at that tourny and all of them got top 16 mine with time seal and drop of, one with solemns and then the jar of greed version.....this make me flash bad to a good time in yugioh for me

Instead of printing Magia in only as QCR, they could’ve done holactie the creator of light as the chase collector card in QCR. We still havent gotten a tcg print of it and it wouldn’t be a playable card like Magia.

Just because it has played it longer, doesnt mean its the reason the buyout happened. This is directly to shifts in the edison metagame, which is why legacy of yata is going at the same time

Ive got a theory on why jar of greed and legacy of yata (and a small # of other "random" cards shown within last month or two) being bought out recently, but dont wanna share it.

I mean yeah old pros used to use cards to increase their prices at times, but the difference is they actually have to get proven results with it and that's what happening here instead of X rogue deck got some unproven support and it miiiiight become good. I respect it more imo

@7itemstone where did I say anything like that? I constantly advocate for better and call konami on their BS more so than almost anyone on the platform. I'm replying to his "it's become too much about" when it's always been about money and luck/variance.
There HAVE been improvements btw (finally getting to streams over written coverage, utilizing content creators over Banning them at events, finally porting an OCG product with Rarity Collection 1) but there's also a multitude or failures and one step forward two step back moments.
