Part 2. Demolition of "The Retreat" conference center in Alexandria, VA. The conference center had been part of the adjacent 30-story Hilton Mark Center Alexandria, but was split off as a separate property in order to be redeveloped. Both had opened for business in 1985.

Were those pre-cast hollow concrete "planks" used in the floors and roof a common method of construction here? I've seen them in one other of your videos but not otherwise. They look like a pretty slick way to make deck, but they sure don't like to be lifted in the middle.

This biulding doesn't look that old or in that bad of Shape some modern biulding methods
Modern being 40 years or less
Wonder why they are taking it down
