Hi Hector! I love your videos. I am always so thankful when I find your video that answers my questions. They are so helpful. My employee accrues 1 hour of sick pay for very 30 hours worked. Can you please tell me/us how set that up on QuickBooks online payroll? In the sick time off tab there is an option " Per hours accrued and the box next to it I am suppose to enter a decimal number, I don't know what decimal number to enter to have 1 hour accrued for every 30 hours my employee works. PLEASE HELP :)
CA law allows employees to accrue more hours than they can use in one benefit year. Accrual can be capped and 48 hours and usage can be capped at 24 hours. How is this setup in QB? I understand that I can enter "48" in "Maximum number of hours to accrue," but how do I limit the use to 24 in a calendar year?

When employees eared vacation, Debit : Vacation expense, Credit : Vacation accrued liability, when employees taking vacation time off, Debit :Vacation accrued liability, Credit :??? Nice tutorial. I can not find a tutorial on how to adjust payroll and liabilities. Let's say I pay an employee and then realize I overpaid his Withholdings. The tax was wrong due to an old tax table or something... So the following pay period I want to adjust his tax so that my tax liability is correct and he gets his well-deserved money. How do I do that? I can adjust liability but how will this affect the payroll? I am in a quandary. Also what if I pay an employee for fewer hours than he worked, he brings his paystub an says it's an error,. Now I have to pay him the difference how do I do that on Quickbooks Desktop Pro?
Would there be a way to pay out an employee for vacation pay that they have not accrued yet? A client wants to pay a sum to an employee who has not yet accrued the hours but has been approved. How would they be able to cut a cheque with only a vacation amount even if the hours aren't tracked yet?
But Hector! Or anyone else.. :-) Vacation Pay (Accrued) Can be found on the Balance Sheet but with QBO Payroll it appears that there is NO RECORD of any Sick Pay Liability in the Balance Sheet. That's not ideal is it..?

QB does NOT accrue for Vacation in the financial statements
