Hi Rugimus, I just discovered your channel and over the course of a week watched all your Civ 6 videos and became a new subscriber. As someone with thousands of hours in this game, I found myself really enjoying seeing it through the eyes of newbie again, and it was especially fun since you seem to be liking the game so much. There were certainly frustrating moments, but honestly most of your guys' misunderstandings you managed to figure out eventually (e.g. why missionaries can't attack). I hope you are still enjoying Civ 6 -- I would love to see more of these videos. Even more, I would be happy to help you guys out if you want, either by joining a Discord call or just answering whatever random questions you have about the game. Not that I want to backseat and ruin the discovery of this wonderfully complex game, but I've played a lot of it so I've developed pretty good game knowledge that I think I could share effectively (my first tip is to settle MORE cities; seems like your friends are pretty used to Civ 5 where four-city empires were the meta, but in Civ 6 the more cities the better -- fill in that empty map!) Honestly though, you guys just seem like a fun crew to hang with and I'd love to join in. Best, G
I appreciate you stopping by! Though the "main campaign" hasn't progressed, we've played quite a bit on our own (quicker random games in Discord). With Civ VII right on the horizon -- I expect a rush of momentum to really put hours in once more info is revealed around that. You're absolutely right about settling more, my last two games I've gone ballistic with settling figuring out the spacing "sweet spot"; I'm learning new things every single time I play, and I don't see that changing in the foreseeable future. Feel free to add me on Discord; details are in the description of all videos.
