- A visit to Shibden Park, a beautiful and historic green space that offers stunning landscapes and a variety of outdoor activities, followed by a stay at Holdsworth House Hotel, a charming and picturesque hotel known for its warm hospitality and elegant accommodations, and concluding with a trip to Salts Mill, an impressive former textile mill that has been transformed into a vibrant arts and cultural venue featuring galleries, shops, and cafes.
Lovely adventure. The last bit where merchandise was behind glass was really special. The chairs were interesting. Enjoy your stay, cheers..
I'm glad you enjoyed the adventure! The merchandise display was definitely a highlight, and those chairs had such unique character. Cheers!
What a Beautiful Place - Beautiful Gardens and Waterfalls - The Hotel Really Lovely - It Has Everything and Loads of Amazing Artwork in The Mills - So Nice - Thank You Trevor and Pat XX
Your welcome Karen.
Great vlog today, looks a lovely place, sorry to hear Pats not well, hopefully she will get rid of this terrible infection she has. Looking forward to hearing the story of the bad neighbours though x
Thank you for your kind words! Shibden Park and Holdsworth House are beautiful places. I appreciate your thoughts for Pat; Seen a doctor today who has put in an application for an emergency scan. Stay tuned for the neighbor story-it's a wild one!
I really enjoyed watching you walk round Shibden Park and Holsworth House... I used to work at Laurel Bank Nursing Home next door to the hotel before I retired. It closed soon after I left and I expect it will have been turned into flats now. Across the road they filmed Ackley Bridge in the old school. I remember The Beatles staying at that hotel, it looked a lovely hotel. I thought your visit to Saltaire fascinating... I never knew it was free! We'll definitely be paying it a visit... thank you for sharing x
You know the area quite well Mary, by the look of it a lot of property has been built since 64 when the Beatles were there, it must have been quite rural.
Glad you liked Salts Mill, it's worth a visit.
Bet that walk is cracking in Spring and Summer.
It's a beautiful hotel with lovely gardens. Very interesting stuff about the Beatles stating there too. Glad you both enjoyed your food and hope you both enjoyed the experience.
Everything was great until bed time, then......... tell you tomorrow.
@trevorpat-lifeontherun oh no, OK lol.
Wow looks so nice there, i have been to Shibdan hall, where they filmed Gentle man Jack was a true life story of the people who lived there.
I haven't seen Gentleman Jack, and I didn't know about that, so thank you.
Hello how are you lovely video really enjoyed.
warm wishes from new friends The Ellmers Adventures.❤
Thank you 🤗
@trevorpat-lifeontherun your welcome
What a beautiful hotel and a lovely trip away x
👍
Lovely video. Looks like a successful stay. Loved the vases etc made from paper.
The stay was not too successful Jacqueline, but we will tell you about that later. Yes, I liked those paper vases too.
What a fabulous hotel. So interesting and thank you for taking us with you. Hope you had a wonderful time.
Lovely hotel Alison. We will tell you about our stay later.
What a beautiful hotel and gardens… hope you both enjoy your visit ❤❤xx
Thank you Leonie.
There’s always one! What a lovely park, was it very big? Wow! The hotel looks beautiful, so full of history. The saltaire mills look interesting too. Pleased you’ve enjoyed yourselves, and the weather was kind, even if still a little chilly. Take care! xx
Not sure how big the park was, but from what I saw, I would say it's not very big.
The hotel was lovely if a bit creaky.
I always wonder what kind of people buy from Salt mills?
Very nice vlog thank you Steve 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it you two.
You really picked well, what an interesting place to visit, well looked after at the hotel, food looked really nice. I know you don't like revisiting but bet it's nice in the summer, thanks for video.
The hotel was lovely, but Pat is not well and we had noisy neighbours most of the night. We shouldn't have gone really. Pat sees a doctor tomorrow morning.
Think I’d like a trip there too it looked very interesting the mill also hotel looked lovely hope you enjoyed yourselves and Pat was ok xx
Pat wasn't ok Trish, we shouldn't have gone. She sees a doctor tomorrow morning.
Great video. Fantastic place to visit. Thanx for sharing ❤❤ xx
Your welcome Yvonne.
Very nice wish we had good people that today who used money to help the community 😊
Totally agree! We need more of those awesome folks out there making a difference! 🙌
Wow what a lovely hotel 💕💕. Looks like you both enjoyed your stay there 👍👍. I bet the gardens are really beautiful with all the flowers blooming and leaves on the trees. Thanks for sharing. Take care, stay safe, well and warm. Judy🇨🇦🇨🇦
Our stay was spoiled by bad neighbours.
@@trevorpat-lifeontherunOh NO. 😮😩😮. So sorry to hear that. The place looked so classy, a place where you don’t anticipate having rowdy neighbours. It can be quite scary. 💕💕
We will explain on our next vlog. 😢
What a lovely place Trevor, you chose well! See you tomorrow, bye!!
But we had lousy neighbours.
@@trevorpat-lifeontherun Oh no!
We're at the doctors now.
@ Good luck xxx
Got to go for scans Mary.
At saltire you were only a mile from ours.
I wonder how many times we are a mile away from viewers in the course of a year Alec?
The first part made me laugh. Pat needing a washroom wasn’t that you before Trevor. The guy in your shot was funny hopefully not crime show lol. Now that’s great The Beatles stayed at that hotel. It’s a verynice place. I love the historical buildings in England. Cliffhanger we will never know what the English breakfast will look like lol Thanks for taking us along. Take care.
Sorry about the breakfast Debbie, we just couldn't face it.
@ That’s alright I was just teasing you lol. I actually enjoy eating at breakfast like you had. Big huge breakfasted can make a person feel ill from eating to much. It your getaway so you get to do what you two want.
Ye, we had a scon in the afternoon, then an evening meal, so we just didn't feel like a big breakfast. Food was good though.
Hope you enjoyed your walk Pat and it wasn't too much for you.Take care.x
