Hey great video. Our family used to be regular visitors when our kids were younger. And also when we had had visitors from interstate or overseas but since they have ceased the koala cuddle we haven't been back. A pity as there isn't many places you can cuddle a koala. Admittance prices aren't particularly cheap either. Shouting a family of visitors get a bit prohibitive.
Hi there and thanks for the comment. I was very surprised they cancelled the Koala Holding, but most the parks are getting like this these days. Although I do believe there is a park near Yeppoon that you can still do it. The price can deter a big family or lots of people, but if you have something particular you want to see, then there are plenty of options around. Someone asked me the other day if Australia Zoo was worth it, but they only wanted to see the Croc Show and I think there needs to be more incentive than that for the prices they charge!
I have never been there. It would be hugely popular with international visitors I imagine, hence the exorbitant charge to be photographed holding a koala. Very informative and wonderfully presented Chris 🙏
Can you believe,my first time was 2002 and just recently to film this. Some big changes over the years and your right... hugely popular with the international tourists 👍👍😀
Well there you go... I just read the update on their website. Can't say I'm at all surprised and read into the new package their offering. Although I did a "koala up close" situation at Auatralia Zoo and didn't get charged for it. Thanks so much for letting me know

They have officially banned the Koala cuddle. If that’s what you’re wanting, you won’t find it there.
