Fort Worth is a sleepy town. I was homeless there from 2009-2019. I knew everywhere I could sleep without being bothered. Sometimes I would roam the streets at night and think about overnight businesses I could start to give Fort Worth more of a night life. I’m a veteran and finally got housed in 2019. It’s crazy how I look back and see family didn’t even care about me. They was hoping me to be dead. How amazing.
Another tidbit: Amon G. Carter didn't like the concept of "his" city being associated with a black cat (Panther). He owned the newspaper and re-monikered the city, Cowtown. To me, it's still Panther City and I love it.

Grew up in Ft Worth, We had a saying. Ft Worth is where the west begins, and Dallas is where the east petters out.

I was told a different story. One much more realistic then that one
Very cool. I always wondered as Panthers are certainly not native. :)
Painters are 100% native to north texas. And jaguars were until 100 years ago.
I have for my entire life (70 plus years) thought of little old ft worth as inferior to Dallas.
COW TOWN IS MY MOMS TOWN.
Now it's funky town ft.worth.
