Yeah, I'm currently slapping the DS2 DLC bosses with Onga Bonga Smash Dragon Tooth. I haven't tried magic since my first Elden Ring character, because it just turned the game into a joke. Onga Bonga might be broken too but at least it's more engaging. Much like shieldpoke, but that's more broken in Elden Ring than it is in the DS trilogy imo.
Meh ds1 is pretty easy in general if you actually upgrade your weapons. Its just the upgrade system is so obtuse that playing blind its really easy to miss how it works
Well in ds 1 it kinda was :D Not as easy as pyromancy but it was :D Compare to for example DS3 when int build are actualy harder to play, as you have to invest stat investment sould in to more than one stat you still need to invest in some form of male (those are usualy agil and agill give less defence than str) you still need stamina, and on top of that you need to scrifice your estus. Oh and you need to upgrade multiple weapons (with exeption of 2 catalist that duble as a weapon but those still are upgraded with Twinkling that is rarer then standard tytanite and have compromised dmg (for pick) or realy high stat need for the spear) oh and dont get me started that you need to sacrifice at least 3 ring slots, head armor slot and off hand for the demage to be viable, wher unga bunga build can get more stats, more def and can chose to get more attack without penalty in most case. Oh and there is a moonlight build I guess but lets be honest it's just a bonk build with int in place str. :D I'm not saing it's hard to play mage in ds3, just say that it's harder than bonk build where you only have 4 stat to concider 5 if you go quality, 1 weapon and masive flexibility. Ps. Love DS1, DS3 and Blood borne, like Elden but hate it at the same time. Not because of the game quality but because it broke what was unique in ds formula (espetialy DS1 [ds2 is not ds, fun game but not DS]) and worst of all introduce specific group of player to our toxic comunity. Now, it doesnt fill like comunity, now it's infested with a product of 21 century parenting and education aka. Bunch of brainrotten spawn of tweeter or however you call this now. Maby I'm just getting old...
Dark Souls 1 midrolls feel slower than the fatrolls in DS3/Elden Ring... that explains a lot about how fast-paced the games evolved to be. Everything aside, Dark Souls 1 still holds a very special place in my heart that no souls game ever will.
rolling at the fastest fast roll (it was split up into like 4 different fast rolls depending on weight) in ds1 is still just the same speed as a ds3/er medium roll. you were slow as hell in these games lol
Because in Dark Souls not every boss was meant to be beat by rolling. A bunch of different playstyles were possible, so having a bad roll wasn't a big issue. That being said, mid roll in DS1 is sufficient for a roll-heavy playstyle because there's only a handful of enemies that even have an attack combo that is longer than two hits.

DaS1 and 2 were slow, but they gave me that feeling I was this big, heavy knight having come to f up the place. The anime super move stuff was minimal.
You can pretty much stunlock every enemy in elden ring with a colossal sword, i do agree that fighting some bosses like Messmer and Rellana on a str build felt like i was too slow to even get a single hit on them, but it is still busted by the cheer stunlock capacity and poise dmg
I've seen many Dark Souls videos, some how this might be the most ridiculous. The 92 repair powder mixed with 99 humanity. Making Artorias look like a child is hard to do
That's about as much damage as I did against him using the Capra Demon Machete. But I had to dodge a lot more because I didn't have any armor. I needed to be able to dodge lol
@@neelupetyt6520thats kinda the point tho. Ds1 atleast allowed you to spec as tanky for bosses at the cost of dmg and rolls. Ds3 and elden ring pretty much force you to be a fast roller high dps type. There's a few niche shield tank moments but that's it
Do a full Havel build, I promise it is so fun Only downside is fatrolling but Havel's Greatshield is so op you dont even have to roll lol (you need only 16 endurance to fatroll which bandit class starts with)
I have that hammer in DS3, I have a feeling it'll come in handy in the DLCs. Still got 2 DLC bosses left in DS2 though, 5 of the other 7 were basically as rough as Artorias, I'd say. I fought him and the other 3 on NG+ though, so the comparison is a bit off.
I miss these bosses where we really fight against them, and we don't have to dodge 5 or more consecutive srtrikes until the ia decides to gives me a break
I'm a strength main myself and when i got to playing ds1 last year I was floored by how much fucking damage I was doing with the demon greataxe, same with the DBS in demons souls, the old games let you hit so unnecessarily hard lol
I liked Souls better this way. Slower, more methodical, more deliberate, none of that twenty hits in a row fly through the air anime bullshit that Elden Ring has.

The boss was buffing normally it will take three hits to stagger him but with this much strength one heavy attack is enough
