Epic choice, My CX200 Tour 16x19 is currently on pre-order replacing my current 18x20 version, So glad you didn’t throw the other Dunlop cause the paint job on it is so nice, I hope those other rackets aren’t chipped and damaged.
A prestige pro 16x19 maybe? sound similar to your taste, with a lot of control, precision and decent spin! I wonder why he didn't try any head racquets
The part I don't like Dunlop is, looking at 16x19 and 18x20, string grid opening at sweet spot are almost the same, rather than slightly spaced out for the former. It's even more obvious if you compare it to PS97. That's probably the main reason I felt the spin potential and response was somehow restricted. If you carry 2 string patterns for essentially the same racquet, differentiate more between them!
I felt I found the right racquet from the the get-go with my prestige Graphene touch mp. I try other racquets sometimes searching for more power but I always go back to the prestige 18x20. It does everything well for my game style. The time has arrived to buy the second one and then start the string journey. Wish me luck.
I have tried a lot of rackets in my 35 + years. Being a stringer, I have the chance to try them all. But to me, my Wilson Pro Staff RF 97 are at the very top of my list. Though I must give honorable mentions to 2 others: the Wilson Pro Staff Spin 97(Dimitrov) is just awesome. With a little more weight in the head, it's quite good from the baseline. I also played in my younger years with the Prince NXG Tour 100: EXCELLENT racket, with no plastic grommets, being drilled right through the frame. It makes for a special feeling, having quite a bit of plough through and offering a good amount of spin. But indoors, nothing compares with my Yonexs 97 Tour F; of course, i have added a bit of weight in the head, changed the grips with genuine leather grips + overwraps and that's it. SERVE 'EM UP..!
I have been watching Dr Tennis Spin every day since inception...this is the GOAT... And Emmy worthy.. both for comic relief and useful information...a perfect 10.. bravo...
Can u do a follow up on how he customizes his racket? Tests that customization and tweaks to get to his desired end result? I’m past the picking the stick now I am testing the fine tuning and would be interested in hearing more about Swing Weights, plow and twist.
I think coach Chris could round his Yonex experience by trying the VCORE Pro 97, the HD is something special and maybe he could like it. Great content every week, I’m a fan from Ecuador
I think something like the Dunlop makes sense for someone of Chris' ability. The other rackets are more 4.0 level aren't they? What strings does Chris have in the 16x19? Could you compare the string density of the 18x20 to the 16x19 please. How big are the cells in the central sweet-spot region, is there much difference between the two. I guess the 18x20 cells are about 1.2mm and the 16x19 are about 1.3mm, so they probably play quite similar. Thanks.
I feel like people that are used to play with stiff racquets with mid 50s tensions, when they get to try a flexible racquet they always string them with the same tension (which is a mistake) and report that they feel the racquet bending and actually say that the racquet is stiff. Guys, please adjust the tension to get the amount of power/control you are used to with different racquets, for example, if I have a 62 RA frame with a 18x20 string pattern, 95 headsize and I string it with 44lbs, when trying a 100sqin, 65RA, 16x19 frame, I should up the tension a bit and vice versa. (not saying tha this is the case with coach chris, but his saga reminded me of this, which happened at the club I where I play)
It really makes me cringe to see you tossing new rackets on the floor like that. I hope you aren’t going to sell those to people as “new rackets” to me that is no longer new at all id be pissed if you sold me one of those
Coach Chris is as the old saying goes a Hua Hua Gongzi when it comes to racuets but bloody hell finally lol. But I understand as I still have 3 Sampras pro staffs.
I’ve never demoed racquets. I mostly bought them on faith that reviews would provide enough information. I’ve been lucky that my level isn’t high enough to appreciate the subtle differences. A future racquet choice might follow a demo. Not that I’d know how to evaluate a new stick. I s’pose I’d spend fifteen minutes on each of groundstrokes, volleys, serves and returns; then maybe play a set of singles and a set of doubles. I’d want to be organized and make a list like the play tester reviews at Tennis Warehouse. Problem is what string at what tension?
How's spin of Dunlop 200 tour 16x19 compared to new PS97? Been a while I haven't bought Dunlop, as the last one I used seems to rather stay 'classical' than 'modernized' - small sweet spot, good for serve/volley, but definitely less spin than the 2014 PS 97 I currently use
Been using the same two babolat pure drives since high school. They're both hand me downs from my dad haha. Played around with strings and tensions quite a bit cuz I also got a hand me down stringing machine from my dad, but never changed the frames. It's such a foreign idea to be experimenting with different frames, but maybe I should.

Head especially the prestige and og radicals are awesome racquets. Any of the real Austrian made are solid. And I definitely get Chris's attachment to his older Yonex. It's made in Japan and the new Chinese yonex are not the same. The new trend for racquet design is to be thinner head and stiff in the throat and shaft which is all about flicking the ball for more spin because of all the western grip topspin guys and gals. If you're more neutral and want better rounded I see how the older Yonex or the head prestige would lend itself better. Throw the pro staff in there too. There's so many options now and it'll make your head spin.
I love all your reviews and content. Could you please do a review on Wilson Pro Staff precision 100 (version 2). It's a racket for recreational players like most of us.

Yikes!! Neither Harry nor Coach Chris were aware that there indeed was a VCORE 95 before the previous 2018 VCORE 95. It's official name was YONEX VCORE SV 95. It is currently the stick of choice for the number 12th ranked ATP Tour player (albeit in paint job form).
when one star looking for a racquet that means your playing days are over and your coaching days is here..
Pro Staff 97L V13 with Luxilon Alu Power 1.25 16L @53lbs is butter for me.
I play like Jimmy Connors and have a pro staff 85 and a t2000. Is the light version good for the Connors swing style which I have used for decades? Thanks.
Going through the struggle myself! Fell for the technifibre 305 xtc, felt good, then a few months later started getting a weird feeling so i got them matched and because they were so off from eachother, (lead in the throat on one and then at 9 and 3 on the other) they still dont feel right. Took the weigth off and now they just feel foriegn in my hand. Looking to swtich but im lost on what to look into??? Ahhhhh, "hair pulling" hahaha
Try the new or old version of the textreme tour 100p (they’re almost identical in feel. It’s a very spin friendly 18x20. Good swing weight I have some weight added at 3, 9 and 12. You won’t be disappointed.
U probably need new strings. The new poly strings feels dead after a few months based on my experience. It loses its elasticity or something. If you want longer playability go hybrid or multi maybe.
@@bradfordstoll5191 thank you, i just play tested this racquet and wow, the sound of the ball off the string is like the sound of a shotgun, hahaha, awesome stick. Im gonna play with it for another week or so to make sure its not the honeymoon affect. TY
@@milevets i do have a shoulder issue and i have tried hybrids in the past but never found one i loved. Thats a lie, i did do gut with a poly but honestly couldn't afford to keep buying gut cause im only a rec player. I will have to try a hybrid again. TY
I feel like he’d love the Prince Powertwist or twist power or whatever
Soooo, a pro staff or something like a pro staff and tweak it a bit. Head light, 16X19, plow thru on serve and between 95-98 sq inches. Nice! Now, he and we know his type to set him up for a tennis date 😆.
