Fantastic job with this, it deserves way more views. The fact that it is all real objects, real fire, no green screen or anything digital is just superb.
Absolutely fantastic. The contrast of shadows and light is used to such masterful effect and I appreciate the varied and interesting camera angles. Great work!
I see you’ve been posting a lot of these high quality ASMR vids. How you’re not already at 100,000 subs is beyond me. Keep up the good work, you run one of the few ASMR channels I cherish
This video is just incredible! I understand that everyone starts with a small audience, but I'm still so sorry that there are so few likes on your videos! It's like I'm watching a movie, you're very cool! Please don't give up on this case!
I needed to find Victorian detective clips and I nearly fell asleep listening to this😂this is such a good asmr video I’m surprised it doesn’t have more views
Yes, yes, yes @46mieux: this ASMR is the proper accompaniment to reading in the Canon, preferably in a deep armchair, from the Klinger three-volume set. As it might be, a hasty dip, for the umpteenth time, into that celebrated case on Dartmoor wasteland. "Dr Mortimer looked strangely at us for an instant, and his voice sank almost to a whisper as he answered: 'Mr Holmes, they were the footprints of a gigantic hound!' " - My armchair is of adequate depth, and is covered in green leather. Under the inspiration of this ASMR, I just now reread the first chapter of the immortal tale. Perhaps it will be possible to read further, from some tale or other, somewhere or other in those three volumes, tomorrow: in the same armchair, and with a mug of black unsweetened Darjeeling.
This is excellent, excellent craft! On par with those like Made In France, with more emphasis on being there in the moment. A missing jewel in the ASMR community.
Hi, this is shot in our home studio. All the props are made by us. The walls are fake as well. We move them around to suite the video we’re shooting. I’ll see if I can post some behind the scenes photos.
@@anoushkadavid8616 Hi, my wife and I have been shooting stock video for use in television and web productions for over 11 years. We have a lot of props and backgrounds we use in our home studio. These videos are fun and keep us busy now that we're retired.
this is SO well done, i was strangely looking for something just like this, thank you!!! its so underrated, the production quality is fantastic! please dont stop creating♡♡
I love the concept of these videos, but something else I'd adore, especially with the theme of this video, would be perhaps some whispered or softly spoken narration, give it an almost noir feel as you explain the case the detective is working on. Would add a lot to the atmosphere I feel.
@@JakeHellbach Yeah exactly, I feel it would make a great ASMR video with your already stellar set design, costuming, and general acting. I honestly wonder how you got your hands on all these props. I've watched a few of your videos and the variety is incredible.
Ah yes the props. We’ve been shooting video commercially for years. So we’ve got quite a lot of props. So much so that my wife has banned me from getting more large props, 😁
@@JakeHellbach if you ever wanted to do an out of character ASMR video, a soft spoken tour of your props and a bit of a history on where they all come from and why you originally got them would be fascinating
This is exactly the kind of video I look for! You might try adding “unintentional” to the tags because, while I know this is made very intentionally (and brilliantly I must say) it’s a more subtle and unintentional feel compared to people banging away with nails on a microphone. Excellent work here! I subscribed!
This is satisfying. Here we have the same concern for logic and evidence as we see in the courtroom itself. In the investigator's office, as later in the open court, Clarity combats Confusion, Truth confronts Untruth, good contends with humanity's ancient enemy.
Great video😊 the antique equipment is so interesting. If you are not already doing so, having small groups of students in for a live show would be a great educational experience for them.
You're gonna get big eventually. If i could be constructive, a lot of what you're already doing could be enhanced for the amsr nerds by getting in more macro. The minute movements of the objects you use and the deliberate movement of your hands are very appealing, ya should draw more focus on the actions themselves. This is obviously different in set-up and likely equipment, so don't think I'm being lame n complaining plz. This shit is great.
Its a real shame you dont have more views because this is really well done and super relaxing
Thank you so much! We wish we had more views too 😄
@@JakeHellbach would love it if you would kind of mention things under your breath about… detective stuff. Holmes cases etc.
Fantastic job with this, it deserves way more views. The fact that it is all real objects, real fire, no green screen or anything digital is just superb.
Thank you! We like to create a real environment. No green screen or digital effects.

This is a literally movie quality. Thank you!
I decided to google "asmr detective" on a whim just to scroll and find this gem, well done!
Thank you!
I am watching this next to a fire and the little pops and crackles elevate the video to a whole new level.
Wow! Thank you!

such amazing work you put into your videos, such finesse and artistry. keep up the good work!
Thank you so very much!
Fantastic, love the opening candle shots. i am sure Sherlock would spend just as much time deciphering clues in silence than otherwise. Splendid.
Many thanks! And glad you enjoyed it!
came across this video while searching for "period" asmr. this is amazing work!
Thank you!

Where did you film this? I'm always amazed when ASMRtists are able to film in seemingly genuine locations.

Like the old noir movies that have the voice over to what’s going on?
