Wow! This was great to know that my Journaling is actually ok! As I write anything & almost everything that happened to me during the previous day. I’ve been writing since 1993 when my sister gave me a beautiful unlined book, for a present, I didn’t start straight away to write as I wondered what I was going to do with it, her idea was I might like to start drawing since I liked it in my school years, always doodling into my school books. But them my mother went into a nursing home & I started getting all my bent up emotions into my new journal, it became my silent friend , & it still is, I think I’d be lost without my journal, & I like to thank KMart for my inexpensive journals , that fill my home . 😊

Thank you for sharing your story! I'm so glad that journalling has been a comfort to you over the years. There's definitely something very healing about putting pen to paper :)

Hahaha! Your quote from The Importance of Being Ernest. That's what inspired me to start my first travel journal...about 25 years ago 😂😳😂
I use a combination of stream of consciousness and gratitude journaling. I've recently started a sort of bullet journal as well, for behaviour tracking and a bit of organisation

Hahah! I'm so glad you picked up that 😁 Thanks for sharing- I've been thinking of trying out bullet journaling as well this year, it seems like a good way to organise everything in one place

@@lifeofkotts In case you haven't started your bullet journal yet, I found this minimalist set up appealing :

This was so inspiring! I have tried to start journaling so many times but always felt I had to write a lot. Your video was so helpful, I think I will try to start with the ‘sentence a day’ and ‘list’ journaling!

I'm so glad! I totally understand- I have days where I don't feel like writing much as well, so it's nice to just "go with the flow" and keep it short and sweet ❤︎

This was a lovely video! I have come to realize how much journaling helps me calm down. I have so many journals from 5 year Q&A, junk journal, travel scrapbook, overthinking journal, and learned more from this video! I think I am going to get a weekly calendar to write down one sentence a day to have a fun reminder in the future. 😊
