Of all the rotten story lines the writers of this show managed to pull out of their asses, trashing Rick Weber's character was one of the most reprehensible.
The fact that Scotty does it... they could use it later on.... They could use it to bring back one of the old characters... Joe Kelly as a New York Attorney General... to prosecute Scotty for Involuntary Manslaughter, Manslaughter or whatever ... now that really could be one heck of a story line if they did it right.
Sadly, Doug Sheehan has passed. I loved him as Joe! I had such a crush on him. hehe It is such a shame we are losing so many wonderful people from our GH past.
Yes, I hate GH made Rick Webber into a bad guy, because he was a good father to Laura. Getting it on with a nurse in the attic, ruins his love for Lesley. I wish the writers would have shown his character some respect. Laura could have been in a car wreck or something.
I love a lot of storylines on GH but this story was awful. Rick was Laura’s dad and he loved her. It was completely unbelievable for people who knows the history of GH.

I remember hearing also that she was suppose to remember Rick molesting her. That MUST have been a story line at some point, or suggested in an episode. Many of us would NOT be remembering it that way if it had not been suggested.
Nah. Rick was too busy molesting Monica to have been molesting Laura. He liked his grown and wild. Then again, it was more like Monica was molesting Rick - LOL!
This story line really sucks What they wrote about Rick don’t add up or fit the original storyline that Gloria wrote it’s so fake they fuck up all the original storylines instead of bring in new good ones G H went dead in hill and seems stupid and funny
These two are masters of acting. They are so good at interacting with each other.
That is why Genie Francis won outstanding supporting actress for this storyline. Well deserved.

Drives me crazy that they wrote Rick as her ‘step’ father. He adopted her and she called him dad,daddy,father.

In the midd 1970's It might have been when she was on Probation over the Ricks friend she killed that tried to get in her pants as a teenage.
