Sounds heavier than most of the Cog is Dead songs I've heard before, but tbh I like it
I was worried at first because i love the original song so much, but you did a great job keeping the spirit of this song while adding that Cog is Dead touch. More like this please!
I'm usually not a big fan of covers(many of them are too close to the original and just sound weird) but I must say I have yet to find one that he has done that isn't awesome, great job
@Theresa Amick I have to say I'm impressed with your mention of puddles, I saw him in concert last year and it was a great show can't wait for him to come back.
I was actually listening to Abbey Road earlier today and was wondering what a heavy cover would sound like and I really love it
When I am this early, Corona is only a beer..
I wish he had the drum fills in there, but I guess understand why he didn't, since he isn't a primary drummer.
Still sounds awesome, and I quite like how your covers are still unique!
I think anything from COG is amazing. I know this song but don't listen to it often, now that I found this version I will.
I love this band and the Beatles do this will be good
I don't think you'll ever do another song that I will love more than Chitty Chitty Bang Bang; however, this was an incredible cover.
A lot of people butcher The Beatles, Elvis, and many other older artist, but you did real justice to this well known song. 🎵🎙️
Oh yeah, this is a fun one. Love the power bass lines, accompanied by shockwaves.
John, I'll say this again - your voice acting skills really shine through these kinds of songs. I don't think you're really singing so much as channeling a stage boss villain.
How long did it take to put this video together?
Thanks! The song production took the most time, it took a while to get the sound I wanted, but in the end i'm really happy with the way the track turned out. The video took about 2 days to shoot and maybe a day or two of editing.
@@thecogisdead The track turned out great! Your patience and attention to detail music-wise really paid off.
I'm surprised, though. I would have thought the video work would have taken longer. I've done some personal editing on very primitive software, and it always takes me longer than I like to get the look I want, even when I'm trying to keep everything simple. I especially like the little touches, like the empty Coke bottle slide, and the Fredrick 3-part split screen. :)
Well...holy nuts n' bolts. Not just anybody can do this song and do it justice. I'd say that in some ways you elevated it. I was grinning from start to finish.
I came to TH-cam because I got tired of repeating this song on Spotify. I can bear the ads for your voice, but holy cow does it get annoying. On the bright side, I never realized this awesome cover would have a legit music video. Glad you're staying as cute and badass as always even in quarantine, Jon - stay safe! :D
Great cover! I am a huge Beatles fan, and you do the song PROUD!
From Russia with love :)
Love your voice and want to sing like ya
The mentions of the Heavy sound are true! Absolute class as always!
Mentions quarantine.

Checks date. Oh.
Well glad to see you're still around in 2024. Damn good song cover you made in 2020.
Wooooah!! This is AMAZING! You kept the same feel of the original while making it your own with such passion. This is fantastic. Thank you so much for giving such a wonderful treat to our ears.
This is a banger
I typed in "weirdest cover of come together" this was perfect!
This is now my favorite version of this song
As a Beatles and cog is dead fan, the is absolutely amazing. Keep up the great work
I think this is my favorite version ... just BARELY beating out Aerosmith's.
Epic
I would LOVE to hear you sing The Point of No Return from Phantom with your big delicious baritone!!!❤❤❤
Brilliant...this the best way cover the Beatles just do it your way as the original is just about unmatchable....sounds very Gene Simmons like at times which is fine by me...great version love it.
Listening to this makes me think this is the way the song was always meant to me sung. That gruff growl fits soooo well.
Abney Park just got told to hold Captain Sprocket's beer for a moment...
Lyrics
Here come old flat top
He come grooving up slowly
He got joo joo eyeball
He one holy roller
He got hair down to his knee
Got to be a joker he just do what he please
He wear no shoe shine
He got toe jam football
He got monkey finger
He shoot Coca-Cola
He say I know you, you know me
One thing I can tell you is you got to be free
Come together, right now, over me
He bag production
He got walrus gumboot
He got Ono sideboard
He one spinal cracker
He got feet down below his knee
Hold you in his armchair you can feel his disease
Come together, right now, over me
He roller coaster
He got early warning
He got muddy water
He one mojo filter
He say, "one and one and one is three"
Got to be good looking 'cause he's so hard to see
Come together, right now, over me
Oh
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Oh
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
If I didn't know better, I might have thought this was Clutch.
Just listening to the song is giving me serious flashbacks to Across The Universe (great movie, if you haven't seen it)
I love this cover your voice is so raw and passionate and the calling of need well done indeed !!🖤🖤🖤🖤
Over the last year or so, this has become my favourite version of this song.
Alright, so I guess this kicks the cover of People are Strange out of first place for "raddest covers"
as an aspiring musician, i wanted to cover this song, but how am i supposed to 1-up this? XD
You did amazing I think the Beatles would be happy
That is a fantastic cover. I was dancing in the bathroom as I cleaned my teeth to this. Lol

I'm getting some Gary Clark Jr vibes. Nice
I wanted to make something that was heavy like the Gary Clark Jr version, but with my own take on it. :)

I cannot stop listening to this. It is absolutely perfection.
Better than the original, John, definitely a favorite
Hard to say how happy I am to see you guys doing covers.

I love it! I love the original but this cover blew me away
Dude you killed it. Cheers from the other side of the globe.

PLZ DO CLINT EASTWOOD BY GORILLAZ
Hey guys here is a song for you to try friend or foe by tatu
Fantastic cover! May I ask who's Camera-work this was, it's amazing!
Thank you! (Sorry, just saw your comment.) I've got a bit of experience in filmmaking and I set up all of the lighting, lens choices and camera settings. Any of the stationary shots in the studio I just set it on a tripod and hit record myself. The moving shots were on a motorized camera stabilizer. I planned out the camera movements and focal lengths and then handed the camera to my wife for some shots and my brother in-law for others.
Monetization gets four words
Ok, it may be due to the fact that I'm exhausted and tired but at first I thought it was William Shatner :D
Haha, I once played William Shatner (and a bunch of Wilford Brimley's) in a video called The Diabeatles: th-cam.com/video/LtQMqAdtiDw/w-d-xo.html
Very cool! John has a style. As usual
Added to my on the road playlist
MayTheSteamBeWithYou!

This Kicks! When John S lets loose he lets go, ho boy he lets the F go! LOVE ITTTTTT! This is my new fave cover of this song ever! Thanks for helping make Quarantine a bit better!
I came into this video thinking it wouldn’t be any good because most Beatles covers are awful but to be honest this is awesome! Caught me completely off guard.
great cover!!!
I absolutely LOVE this cover! Now to watch for this to show up on Spotify to add to my daily playlist :D
Dude, I love this. One of the better covers of this songs. I don't know what licensing you'd need, but I would love to hear yalls take on popular Beatles songs
AMAZING!
Jeez, John, Covid19 have you a bit angry? And you decided to take it out on a Beatles cover?
Are you complaining?
@@jameshill9325 not at all, sorry if it seemed like I was! It's just a totally different angle than I expected from Cog is Dead, and on Come Together no less. It was awesome, but totally unexpected
@@Hailfire97 it's completely alright I wasn't having a go at you
Wow
Your voice only gets better with this. This is an awesome cover!!
How can John be amazing every time he makes anything? Please teach me the sacred arts
Not gonna lie, best come to together cover I've heard BY far!
just when I get new headphones! perfect. thanks! %))))
I never knew I needed this in my life until today
I love how heavy you made this, awesome
This is epic! Very well done!
Mr sprocket, what is the name of that vpice effect. 0:35?
I adjusted the EQ on the vocals to sound a little lo-fi (sort of like old radio quality) and I added a little distortion.
@@thecogisdead thank you very much mr sprocket, I really like that effect on the voice and I didn't know what it is called. Greetings from Santiago, chile
LOVE THIS JOHN!
Thank you! ^_^
Making sense of a nonsense song 👍🏻😂
