Barbara was a gross woman...how many abortions did she have again? Insane. Even back then it was possibile to prevent it but she let anyone do her and she wasnt even a good actress. It was enough for slapstick and she was always some kind of cheap chick.
Barbara was a gross cruel woman who managed to get pregnant so many times by different men and always killed her children in the womb despite having access to contraception. How fricking gross.
❤ Yeah me too. I Have a box set, I watch them and laugh my head off. But I also get a bit nostalgic and sad too as it's from a time we will never get back. And all the actors are gone now other than Jim Dale who is still here October 22nd 2023.
Wonderful to listen to their gossip. I don't know what Babs said to Kenny that first day but from Kenneth Williams' diary, 6.2.64. "I must say I like Barbara Windsor. She is a charming little girl". So it couldn't have been all bad.
KW was wearing a false beard as part of his character. On the first take, Babs fluffed her lines, to which Kenny responded with his usual acidity! Babs then reposted with, "Don't you talk to me like that with Fenella Fielding's (insert here slang word for female private part!) hair round yer face!!!" That broke the ice!! Kenny and Fielding appeared in Revue together and had a love/hate relationship, to say the least!!
All gone. I grew up watching the carry on films and now none of the new generation will ever know these actors existed. Anyway thanks for the laughs and the memories and rest in peace.
If memory serves, I think the comment Babs made was to do with the fake beard Kenneth wore in Carry On Spying looking like a particular body part of Fenella Fielding being stuck to his face. From that moment on, Kenneth adored her lol
Kenny really was part of the most extraordinarily rich vein of British comedy, individuality, originality, intelligence, but also that deep sadness and emptiness. Spike Milligan, Tony Hancock, Peter Sellers. Unfortunately it’s the English system, that repression and class division, they were so under the jackboot of, that probably made them so unrepeatable. It’s an odd thing. I wouldn’t want to go back to the 20s 30s & 40s, (or later for that matter) but those times created great people.
Babs really brings out the true friend in Kenneth Williams, he lets his guard down and gives us an insight into their friendship and down to earth nature. ❤
I think sitting at a table with these two would be fun, fun,, fun. Like watching tennis just keep moving your head left & right following their walk down memory lane
If you read his book, he gave Barbara a hard time on set the first time they worked together . He was in costume, with a fake moustache.... so Barbara, knowing he hated Fenella Fielding ( wearer of that sexy red velvet dress in Carry on Screaming) said "Dont you talk to me like that with Fenella Fieldings m*nge hair all over your face". They were firm friends ever after .
Wouldn't it have been fun to see those two in the proposed Carry On Dallas? Who knows, maybe it would have turned out to be a good addition to the CO series.
If youre not familiar with him, the exaggerated voice was part of the whole act, but I think I recall it was actually really him. You get used to it. He was not gay. He had a brilliant mind and was a great actor.
@@si_vis_amari_ama Williams was neither straight or gay, but asexual. I believe Larry Grayson was the same. Both played camp but it was just a persona they had developed.
@@johncumiskey672 I don't think so. He couldn't stand people touching his body and remained a virgin to his dying day. I think you might be thinking of Charles Hawtrey who was a notorious old queen.
True British legends. Never going to be replaced.

@@calistafalcontail Shut up she was great a legend loved by millions stop being a bitter old fart.
True friends, right there. And both sorely missed.
How wonderfully warm Barbara was and Kenneth was a genius

There was no better friendship than the friendship of Kenny Williams and Babs Windsor. Two acts very much missed today
Ahhhhh! True gems 😊 I still watch my carry on boxset when I get depressed and they always make me laugh. I miss them.

They were so good
BBC should show these for people who miss them.

Sorely missed. Never to be replaced. Two irreplaceable comedy legend's.

Older i get, the more this hits home.
The movies are waiting to be rediscovered by accident...

I kinda would like to go back to the old days just for the orderliness and pace of life
Legends!

Two friends having a good natter. ♥️
Great footage! We'll never see their like again 😥
I would love to have hung out with these two.
Ha 😅 ❗️Loved that outdoor scene with Barbara & Kenneth in it ❗️🤣
Brilliant

Love the carry on films, I still watch them now, legends that had so much talent and class compared to todays so called stars ✨
Am I the only one who still wishes the production of the Star wars/Star Trek spoof Carry On Up Uranus hadn't been halted in 1980?
Wasn't aware of it...a space Carry on...🎩
God bless all those carry on stars in the sky. You still makes the world 🌎 laugh 😅🤣😂😀🤪🏴🇬🇧 may twenty four
❤❤❤❤❤
Strange to think ken was probably the most working class of the pair
Babs and Ken ❤
Willow the wisp
“Don’t worry, Babs, I’ll do the whole interview myself!”
❤️❤️

Shame they’re both gone 😊
Sad to think that a mere two years after this interaction Kenneth died of suspected suicide.

I bet he did remember the mic was on.........
She didn't need to point out that it was winter when they shot the bra flying off; we could glimpse how cold it was from the clip!
Sadly,Kenny had less than 2 years to live😢🎩
Her outfit tho
Never understood why she insisted on that hobbit haircut for all those years.
A bobal cut close curly 😂finist with a girl who had one, god nose y 😢
Kenneth (never liked him) impeccably dressed and Barbara dressed as a cheap street walker.
Kenneth Williams would've been too annoying for me to watch.
