Bob, make no mistake, you and your videos and website are a beacon of hope. How many hours have you spent sending this message? They are well spent, and greatly appreciated.
I applaud the runaway camper company! Florida is known to be the highest price trailers/RVs in America. But not runaway. They are helping people now get a place to live. Thank you for helping us all.
I'm a truck driver and a few days ago, coming the opposite direction, I spotted a pretty little Volkswagon bug pulling a 13' Scamp trailer. I wish I could have gotten a picture. It was really cute.
I have carpentry skills and a little electric skills i was thinking of helping people out who lost their homes or gotten in a situation were they need a place to sleep,,stay dry, or live in..with what I know (having been in the same situation before.) but your right, they need to realy be ready to be out there..I want to help those without the skills to say convert their trailers, home made towable...for free..just because I know how it feels to be without a home or lost one...
Creative Hearts John Villanueva That’s a really generous offer. I’m heading to NV with my Weeroll next week and no one in my family is handy. I will probably just cross my fingers that I can figure it out.
Bob, you are one of the kindest people I know! If it was in your power, I'm satisfied you would give people the shirt off your back if you thought they needed it more. I am definitely looking forward to this new series, but I look forward to all your videos. Thanks for all you do!
mrbr549 bob is one of the finest of people out there. He gives people hope that they can live well when they may be at their lowest point. I hope to meet him someday.

BOB! I am certain that your Mom has long lost the "Receipt" for YOU. Boy, are we GLAD.....YOU ARE A KEEPER!!!....Will spread the word about this new Series!
I'm really excited for this series! I just bought a used 6x10 enclosed cargo trailer in January for $1500 that is easily towed by my F150. 🤗 I've so far converted it into a mini toy hauler that I haul my dirt bikes out to the desert in, then sleep in while camping. I took it out for my first big desert race out by Cal City off the 395 in California and LOVED it 😍 I've watched your videos and made a bucket toilet, set up a shower system, bought a mr buddy heater, and just have battery powered fans for cooling so far. I just bought insulation for the sheet metal roof to help trap the heat better at night. I learned alot from watching your channel and that maiden voyage last month helped me to prioritize my needs for the next upgrade. I'm not elderly or broke by any means, but I was in a domestic violence situation years ago where I was suddenly out on the street sleeping in my pickup truck for my own safety until I could find a new place to live with a room to rent. I stayed ONE night at a battered women's shelter and vowed to never go thru that again. I've made sure that I will always have a safe place to escape to after that horrible experience. I've always been an avid camper and my time in the Army proved that I am a resourceful and capable person. I know how quickly the rug can be pulled from underneath you, be it a sudden job loss, or a disabilitating injury. I work in emergency medicine and it I see it happen to unsuspecting people all the time and they can be side swiped and completely caught off guard. It really puts things in perspective and teaches me how quickly things can change and how with a little preparation, you can tackle and overcome anything. I'm really looking forward to this series for more ideas on upgrades to my baby toy hauler. 😊 👌🏼
Way to go Tracy! Always best in my opinion to be able to first try going with your own resources and reserves because otherwise someone else is in control and as a fellow survivor it's the last thing we need. Thanks for a lovely post.
Wow. Thanks for sharing your experience and the courage to move forward instead of taking yet another beating. Always remain resourceful , curious and free. Blessings.
I was a single mom to a teenage daughter when I was wrongfully evicted. The state attorney generals office where I live contacted me to let me know that an ethics investigation had been launched into my landlord's practices. It did not help me to maintain a home in the middle of winter however. I was evicted not for failure to pay rent… My rent was paid in full. I moved in with family who wanted to help in their own way, but the family dynamic was very toxic, and actually did more harm than good to both my daughter and myself. I am so thankful that you are doing this series in particular. I graduate nursing school in three weeks, my daughter has since graduated and lives on her own. At almost 50 years old, I will not invest in sticks and bricks again. I will be living in my car, a 2010 Subaru outback. Thank you for doing this series Bob! I've been thinking I would sleep in my car and stealth camp, However a trailer sounds like it might be a much better option for sleeping! Thank you again for the good energy you put out into the universe. I am most grateful 💙
Thanks Bob- I think one lesson I took to heart watching your videos was to get while the getting is good. I am fortunate enough to have my health and a job. So I picked up a part-time second job and started saving as much as I possibly can. Neither jobs nor health can be relied on, Bob it's incredibly great that you are putting other options out there in case it rains.... For all those watching who are also fortunate- save, save and save some more as much as you can without starving too much. If things are still going well- keep on saving and investing, even if it's just 50/month.
I lived in a tent in the yard of a friend for a month and a half to save up down payment on a lot that i moved a rent to own shed. I now own the lot, and pay 165 dollars a month for the shed. with a port-a-pottie and a battery powered shower life is pretty good...
Thank you so much for this, Bob! I had kind of hit the wall on "the plan". Now it seems do-able again. Will be with you on this series. Don't know what makes you care so much for people you don't know who just want to live free on their budget - You got my hope up again. YAY!!!!!
Yesterday, I tried to trade my sedan in for a Dodge Caravan with the folding seats. No bueno said the dealership. I owe too much on my new car to trade it in on a used car. Thumbs up on this video, Bob. Keep 'em coming.
Hi Bob, Looking forward to what sounds like a great series! And, not for the first time, I had little tears of joy just knowing that there are still good people in the world. Thank you yet again!
This video is one of the many reasons I started watching you. I love how you give helpful advice without judgement. You help people deal with what is. You don't judge or point fingers as to how they got there in life. You just accept all. You are a very special soul.
Bob, you are helping so many people, probably way more than you will ever really know. I am not homeless but I am looking forward to meeting and hearing about other people's lives and what happened to them that they are now living in their vehicles. I am quite sure it will be a real reality check as I don't personally know anyone living out of their car. Thank you Bob, your the best!
Great information again Bob. You are right to recommend U Haul. I went to them to install my hitch on my spoolie. No issues... Thank you for this series, it is the reason why I got a skoolie, to no longer be homeless, & because my paycheck cannot support a descent place to live.
Bob thank you for helping people in this way. I can tell you are a very sincere and kind person. I was living in my car 4 times in my life, and the first thing you have to learn is how to survive. And you are teaching that. I can tell you that your advise is so important, and I am sure help so many people! Thank you for what you do!
Great ideas. Main thing is to look at the situation as a blessing to have a car and a tiny trailer. I just appreciate you so much. You said you can't help people that are in desperate situations. But, just you listening and your videos have ideas to adapt. You are a light house. I have my 5 dogs and my grown daughter who is staying with me. I am able to stay in my rental another year...but they plan on selling and i could lose my job. So..while things are ok now...I watch your videos and am making plans to save for a tiny trailer. So. You give people hope. That is priceless
Bob, once again, you're a doing a great service to help lots of people. This is the most effective video I have ever seen on TH-cam. It is bound to help and give hope to many. Just great. Thank you.
Thank you Bob for continuing to take us by the hand and point the way to alternative living quarters! How to make the best of any situation when you don't know where you will live next.
You are a great inspiration for anyone who has no where to turn, and not thinking straight, the amount of people losing there home in the USA, and U K, is staggering, through unemployment, or debt, bad management, with money, although some my not be mentally capable to see the broader picture you see, and know, you are a lighthouse beeming for some who are stranded or on the verge, you are a very kind man ,
Offerings of hope are always a welcomed blessing especially in these trying times, but your honesty and realism are what make these the most useful. Thanks Bob!
A converted cargo trailer is my planned retirement home. It's great that Bob is doing this series since there are so many people looking for affordable housing. Cody provided some great entertainment with his dinosaur digging, but I was listening to you, Bob. Honest!
When people tell me they are going to buy a car I tell them get one that you can live in just in case. They usually look at me like I am crazy. Look, if you had to would you rather sleep in a miata or a Tahoe?
Khalil Ford I was taught that “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” I buy trucks because I will always have a bed no matter what happens down the road. I keep a tarp and blanket under the back seat of my truck because - A tarp and a blanket can be home when you have nothing else.
So glad you are doing this series!!! Please also add to your videos used and vintage trailers, fixer uppers! We found a 1966 Shasta for $300 cash and a few pieces of silver jewelry. We put new tires on it, repainted it ourselves and had new break lights installed. We love it and can't wait to actually live in it! This little trailer didn't have a title to it when we got it but we got a bonded title and now it's good to go. There are many older trailers out there for very little money.
Bless you, Bob. When the going gets really tough, it’s not just the circumstances, but the lack of hope that sabotages a person’s spirit. Thank you for sharing with people how to look forward and beyond. ❤️
I got a rotted pop up trailer for $50 and it has a title! I tore it down to the frame and salvage the parts! I got the inverter, sink and cook top and some little things like wires and lights! Im going to build a 5x8 or 5x10 teardrop on the trailer and do poor mans fiberglass with the bedliner paint! So it will be water tight and UV protected! I am disabled and on low income so I have a 92 jeep Cherokee that I was going to use to pull it! But she needs a lot of work so now I am not sure because its also a gas hog! So I am thinking about selling it and saving up a little and find me a used Kia soul or Mini cooper or something like these fuel efficient suv or crossovers! No matter what though my goal is to travel full time and be on the road ready the first sign of the new year of 2019!
I was watching this and thought to myself “no way in heck you’ll find a Runaway, even a used one for $2500”. Then I realized the video is from 5 years ago. Camper prices really have shot up.
You know Bob... You really do resonate with folks. You do indeed do what you do for the good of others. If there were more like you, the world would be a better place. Sometimes when things like this become popular, it almost becomes "trendy" to be a nomad, but people forget, there are many that are forced to do this, because there are NO other options left. And, that is what I commend you on, you really take the time to give those people your best. Because when those folks get to this point, it isnt usually just their home they are losing, usually, most every part of their life is at a low point.
There used to be a magazine out that catered to small campers, camping life, motorhome and trailer life bought it out.sad because they hardly ever cover articles on small trailer users.i have been looking at small ones for some time, retired now and hubby soon as well.looking forward to all your videos in this series.thanks for filling "the need".faithfully watching, stay safe!
Bob ur so right. I talk to people abt nomad life and some just can't get over the fact that you've got to have money to even live this way. They're looking for a free ride through life.
Thank you for this series, Bob. I feel like you made it for me! I'm the one who asked you during your last live show what I should do with my crappy car and no camper. I'm looking forward to whatever knowledge you impart in the coming weeks :)
good video Bob...its a well needed series for sure! I loved seeing Cody and his friend running around in the background! Cody with that big bone was laugh out loud funny!
I lived out of my 4 runner with no back window this winter and it was miserable. I hope to get a teardrop setup while I have a chance to get ahead before this next winter comes. Thank you. Your videos have been great.
Thank you for this beautiful video Bob. The very end made me a little misty. What I really love about your channel is not only how-tos for current and future nomads, but real advice for people who are out living on wheels due to circumstance. You are awesome and so are your videos.
I'm so glad you're doing this video. It's exactly what we're wanting to do on a part-time basis at some point . . . retiring into a tiny house on foundation in Maine and wintering in our little 19' camper around the south. I'm looking forward to this series! Thank you!
Bob you are an amazing and generous human being. I’m intrigued by tiny campers bc I can fit it on my garage. Something lightweight for basics. I’m always impressed by folks who can live or sleep in their Prius. I’d def go with the solar panel Prius which can maintain the air cooling while off.
Excellent video Bob. It really hits home with me. Same situation on this end. I pray for everyone in this situation. It may not seem like it but it WILL get better.
Another great video on how to enjoy Nomadic way of life, look forward to this series. Needed this video back in 2005 when I started. My nomadic life turned out to be wonderous non-stop adventures Tonto, Coconino life is so good out here when you know how to do it.
I'm sure someone has already seen Cody bringing things to your truck in the video behind you but just thought I'd say something just in case. Keep up the good work.
Great video, really inspiring stuff. Sometimes that's what people need, just a little bit of hope. One benefit to a trailer you may not have thought of; The person can rent out their car through a car sharing company, and get that little bit of extra income to survive.
It is exactly what you make of it. I’ve lived in a Saturn SL1 4 dr with my cat, and may do again soon due to a change in circumstances. Some of the most peaceful and beautiful times at parks, beaches, libraries and coffee shops. Make your mind up to love it and you will. I’ve missed it every day since I left the car. I’m in MN and on the lookout for a used micro camper like this if anyone has any leads, thank you in advance. Blessings🧚🏻♀️
Bob you are great at finding important solutions for people and tight situations. We may not be totally comfortable but better off. Thank you. There are scholarships at recreation centers for very cheap showers.
I have been thinking about this!! I was even looking at the pop up tents they make for motorcycles, my car can only tow 1000 lbs. I can save a good amount if I don't have to pay rent! Thank You Bob! We have to look at it as a means to an end!
You have no idea how much I was losing hope. It was second by second and I had an hour to go. I have not watched the series yet (and I will), but to see your title "Finding Hope" has kicked on my generator for awhile longer. Thank you very much Sir.
Bob, make no mistake, you and your videos and website are a beacon of hope. How many hours have you spent sending this message? They are well spent, and greatly appreciated.
Bob you are the most caring person and we watch your videos every day. What a blessing you have been to so many people.
I applaud the runaway camper company! Florida is known to be the highest price trailers/RVs in America. But not runaway. They are helping people now get a place to live. Thank you for helping us all.

Very kind, loving and supportive Bob.
Wow, you have a big heart Bob. Your empathy is evident.
Bob, having meaning in life is essential, offering hope is a profound calling. All the best to you Bob.
Bob, you are an angel. Thank you for giving so many hope.

There's Cody, in the background stealing the show! I laughed out loud when he trots across with his treasure! 🤣😂😃
The View From My Place I loved it too...😂💝😀

I'm glad you talked about avoiding trailers with a large frontal area.
Thanks for being here all along . I'm amazed at your spectrum and very much looking forward to this series .
Thank you Bob. So many ppl think there is no hope. You give hope back to them..

And, that is what I commend you on, you really take the time to give those people your best. Because when those folks get to this point, it isnt usually just their home they are losing, usually, most every part of their life is at a low point.
When this started I was in awe of the vision behind you....how beautiful...can't wait to get out there and start to live.
Bob, You are a really kind hearted man.
Bob, you're a good person. Thank you for finding solutions.
Thank you for your words of encouragement, Bob.
Bob the first thing for me is s swing away hitch for my 2009 Hyundai Sonata. Six cylinder. I never thought of pulling my bed room. Thank you
Thank you again to offer hope and the truth!!! You’re saving lives and families.
Your kind and true words comfort and inspire me, Bob!
Thank you for this series, Bob. I feel like you made it for me! I'm the one who asked you during your last live show what I should do with my crappy car and no camper. I'm looking forward to whatever knowledge you impart in the coming weeks :)
Thanks Bob...you remind me of the old school folk that just were the best things in the word. He's kind of like a mix of Bob Ross and colonel sanders.
Bob, you do so much good! You bring smiles...
You are so kind. Surely, you are helping many people. May God bless you always.
You are such a special man Bob! You give people hope xx
good video Bob...its a well needed series for sure! I loved seeing Cody and his friend running around in the background! Cody with that big bone was laugh out loud funny!
We just bought a Rustic Teardrop Trailer Camper.... Solid built and we are so happy with it.
I lived out of my 4 runner with no back window this winter and it was miserable. I hope to get a teardrop setup while I have a chance to get ahead before this next winter comes. Thank you. Your videos have been great.
Thanks, Bob. This is a topic that can be a pain in the tukkas to research in general, but harder still for those in duress.
Your goodness lights up all these videos, Bob!
Thank you for this beautiful video Bob. The very end made me a little misty. What I really love about your channel is not only how-tos for current and future nomads, but real advice for people who are out living on wheels due to circumstance. You are awesome and so are your videos.
Very good info! Who knew there are so many different options for a "portable bedroom"? Thanks again, Bob!
I'm so glad you're doing this video. It's exactly what we're wanting to do on a part-time basis at some point . . . retiring into a tiny house on foundation in Maine and wintering in our little 19' camper around the south. I'm looking forward to this series! Thank you!
Exciting! You truly enjoy giving hope to people. It's a pleasure to listen to you.
Bob this is thinking outside box, good on you! for someone who lost there job due to covid -19 and stuck with only your car!
Perfect timing! I am seriously considering buying one by summer for my Honda CRV. This series will be so helpful. Thanks!
Excited to see this series. Thank you Bob for bringing hope to so many.
Another great video Bob loaded with lots of advice and wisdom. Once again, thank you so much for all that you do!
Not sugar coated, honest and based on real life for some people.
Another great video on how to enjoy Nomadic way of life, look forward to this series. Needed this video back in 2005 when I started. My nomadic life turned out to be wonderous non-stop adventures Tonto, Coconino life is so good out here when you know how to do it.
Bob, you're a blessing and good guide. Love your work, really enjoying this series.
Bob I truly belive you will help a lot of people, I'm sharing this of Facebook so more can see this !
Thanks Bob for being a Beacon of Hope. Great Video. Looking forward to the series.
Geeze this is one of the greatest channels! Thank you so much!
You always make me feel better and you always give me a sence of hope with your channel, im pretty sure im not the only one. Thanks
Bob you are great at finding important solutions for people and tight situations. We may not be totally comfortable but better off. Thank you. There are scholarships at recreation centers for very cheap showers.
Go to city websites and pool or recreation memberships section for scholarships or call.
I have been thinking about this!! I was even looking at the pop up tents they make for motorcycles, my car can only tow 1000 lbs. I can save a good amount if I don't have to pay rent! Thank You Bob! We have to look at it as a means to an end!
Thank you for addressing this topic. I look forward to seeing the series
You have no idea how much I was losing hope. It was second by second and I had an hour to go. I have not watched the series yet (and I will), but to see your title "Finding Hope" has kicked on my generator for awhile longer. Thank you very much Sir.
