Your test wasn’t finished, you have to see if the system can reboot or restart with the boot configuration and see if it recognizes the first drive listed in the boot order, starting up is easy, rebooting is more difficult because it has to find the efi file or mbr file and choose the correct boot device

If this fails, try;
1. Removing the battery and press both power button and f6 for 30 seconds and then try booting the device while using the ac power source. OR
2. Replace the CMOS battery.
3. Unplug critical components; RAM, SSD/HDD and the battery, let them sit for a few hours and then reconnect them back.
4. (For impatient guys like me) Spray 3 litres of gasoline on the laptop, lit it up and purchase a new one. HP sucks!

Try changing it to Legacy. It says "no bootable device insert boot disk and press any key". My second hard disk broke. It's like this.
