Forsberg is 9th all time in points per game. The wildest part is that most of those points were produced in the dead puck era! Most of the 8 players above him played when it was much easier to score.
Marginally better imo. I'm not saying Canada won't win, anybody can win but if I bet money , it would be on the US right now. Goalies matter a lot in a short tournament like this, that have won a best on best since the 90-ties. Mike Richter Dominik Hasek Martin Broduer Henrik Lundqvist Roberto Luongo Carey Price Currently Canadas goaltending is the worst it's ever been. It's the worst of all teams in tournament in fact . And I still put them slightly below the US in terms of odds because yes they have McDavid, MacKinnon and Makar.
As for Sweden's defense, Dahlin, Forsling, Hedman and Ekholm are no-brain top four. Bottom two? EK65 is high risk-reward. If the young gun Axel Sandin-Pellika was used to the smaller rink he could very well be on the table. He is doing great in SHL right now.
@@yoooei5792 Lol what is this guy smoking. They have leftout Lindholm, OEL, Adam Larsson and I can mention a bunch that could have made it to this team. Whos Sandin Pellikan?

You mean he should sit around and wait for PP ? He might have to sit and get cold for , say fifteen minutes ,and then just pop up and produce ? Never gonna happen. I actually agree with Garpenlov no matter how good Karlsson has been throughout his career. Too many sloppy plays last seasons , sometimes it´s like he doesn´t care if his team is scored on.
There is no big hype about 4 nations in Sweden. Without the participation of Russia and other nations, there will never be a hype around the world. 4 Nations is only an income gimmick in Canada and the USA where the income comes mainly from the media in the USA. If it's not the Olympics, it's not really a tournament of value to most people around our globe or EU. I think the winner will be the USA because they are better than Canada and Canada has a huge weakness in their who will carry the role of the series' best goalkeeper. I have no idea who is selected for the Swedish team, I don't even think "we" beat Finland, if it's not the Olympics, I don't follow an advertising gimmick live from Sweden.
Sweden is a mess. Zibanejad is a ghost, so is EP40, EK65 is on a rapid decline and Forsberg is not on this season. Sweden is getting old, and Nylander can't do everything himself. The other guys needs to wake up.

its beacause you are either to young or american, or both, winning the olympics back in the day was just as honorable as the cup, maybe even more since its only played every 4th year, unfortunatly the olympics havent been the best on best since like 2010, nowadays you could argue that Stanley cup is better.
Yeah it's probably because your're American. We Europeans follow the NHL a fair bit but our domestic Leagues. Stanley cup is great to win but it doesn't move any emotional needles here. Winning the Olympics however is an historic event. The olympics is also a bigger sport event than anything hockey can offer and the world cup also remains significant for some reason. I'd argue NHL does hockey as a sport a great disservice by not letting players play for their national team. If we want the sport to grow we need to make sure people can watch the best play against their national team.
Representing your country should mean more than any other trophy. Stanley cup might be the pinnacle of a persons career, but winning a trophy to your country have a significant deeper meaning. The most complete hockey player of all time
What a Swede he is. Canadian here living in Sweden. It’s hilarious. If you know you know. He’s a beast! Knows way more than he lets on.
Who will you root for in the tournament?
Forsburg was some tough bastard
Forsberg looks like a great hire from TSN.👏
Does fit us quite well to be the underdog against the mighty americans and canadians.
I won't count out any of the four teams to win the upcoming Four Nations championship tho.
I think the US is even the favourite over Canada due to Hellebuyck, goalies is a weak spot for Canada.
No way Canada is better on every position except the goalie.

In short tournaments you need defense , Ek65 will drop the puck at the blue line leading to breakaway
If he plays with a team in front of him that supports him in every situation he can be the best again. Don't know if this Swedish team can do that tho
I like how TSN just pretends the IIHF WC doesn't exist and take place every year
