I parked my pair under my grandmothers fig tree last year this time. 1 year later the fertilizer is DOING WORK! That tree has more life and fruit now than it has in years.

@@leadfarmer73 We've had 2 for about a year now, a male and a female, and we keep them separated for obvious reasons. I've been toying with how to design and build a mobile kennel/hutch/tractor that I can place next to fruit trees. The idea being the rabbits could eat the grass and leave manure behind, then I move them each week to a new location. Win win. Your 2x4s through the slats in the dog kennels gave me an idea I'm going to try. If it works, I'll make a video about it. As always, I appreciate your videos.
If you have an extra floor tile or porcelain planner bowl . It helps keep the rabbits cool too . Love the new set up

My male rabbit used rearrange his nest and stuff no sooner than the moment I finished cleaning out his cage, and had the nerve to stomp his hind feet at me when he was upset. I still loved him though even when he was a brat.
Wrap or paint the bucket white so the sun doesn’t heat that water up so much. Love your setup.

The neat thing about your setup is you reduce the amount of work you have by only needing to feed & water once every few days to a week. Just need to check to make sure everything is working. Have a safe & good trip.

I'm glad you are talking about this. I just got 3 chicks, laying hens and have been thinking about how to leave them. The furbabies go everywhere with us but I'm not taking the hens lol.
Same situation here. I ended up getting 4 chickens some months back and has been trying to figure out the best way to go about leaving them without having someone come over. . Fur babies will stay with family.

I was doing some research now on keeping bunnies, but after 1 book said they had to have cages cleaned daily, I had 2nd thoughts. I would like to take vacay sometimes! I can even leave my chickens with enough food / water for me to take a long weekend trip! I like your rabbit setup.

Rabbits are very cold hardy, and because Lead is in the South those rabbits won't have to deal with the harsh winters the way the rabbits here up North do. That being said, every single Spring even after the coldest Winter I see fat rabbits with tons of little babies hopping all over the place.
