- This didn't take as long as expected to render, I figured out a few shortcuts. There are some weird artifacts and flickering I don't like in the second shot, but I'm not going to go back and try to figure it out right now. My laptop needs a break from rendering anyway.

I personally think if any CG shots are added to a remaster, they should match the look of the rest of the show. That's why I don't like the current CG remaster, it doesn't mesh with the 60's tech. They should make the CG look like the studio model, just with better quality and a bit more detail to match any upscaling they do for the rest of the shots.
That said, I do want to replicate more shots from the show, especially the title sequence.
@@huntarius-geraldo-giffarius understandable. I usually prefer remastering older works as long as they're faithful to the originals, but the TOS remasters look like PS3 quality renders. They need a bit more love.

This is hands down what the DISCO/SNW Enterprise should have been.
Leave it to the fans to make a perfect version of something classic with a modern touch… and leave it to the big studios to make a subpar version.

To be fair, there have been countless attempts at modernizing the TOS Enterprise by both fans and pros. It's clearly not an easy thing to do. I think Hunter's is far and away the most successful - a great work of art. And, I agree - this is what the Disco/SNW Enterprise should've been. What they delivered is not terrible, but not particularly exceptional over many other attempts.
Ya know.......... Every Enterprise 'reimaging' gives away what was 'borrowed' from any of the other reimaginings, but I will say, I think that you have come up with a GREAT balance. I think yours is now my favorite. Subscribing and looking forward to more video from you with this ship.
Better than anything found in Abram's film's. This ship, fans would have rallied behind. Absolutely love it.

I will commit blasphemy and say that the original Enterprise design, to me, does look a bit dated. Let’s be honest it’s almost 60 years old. But I think this strikes the right balance between the original design, which as a template is beautiful, and enough subtle enhancements to create a modern day aesthetic. Well done.
Why do you think it looks dated? Use some critical thinking. “Let’s face it, it’s almost 60 years old” means nothing when we’re talking about a futuristic spaceship design. The Millenium Falcon is 47 years old, Star Wars fan revere that design and consider it a legacy ship. We’ve seldom seen the original TOS Enterpirse with much surface detail and lit in a modern way. I don’t feel it needs to be revised, just rendered and lit with modern sensibilities.
Love the redesign! Perfect mixture of the old model and the modern versions.

Nice. I love the update on the TOS Enterprise and the Cube. My only suggestion is be careful about your camera movement. If you aren't careful, the camera sweeps can imply the ships are moving when your intention is to keep both of them stationary.
Excellent, next level work. The Enterprise is gorgeous, but I really love what you did with the cube. It never occurred to me to update the cube.
I like the subtle enhancement to the TOS design - the blue light around the deflector, the more streamlined nacelles and Bussard effects. Nicely done!

This was the Enterprise that I was hoping to see when the 2009 Star Trek Movie came out, and I don't think I'm alone. They should have just used the original Enterprise updated with enhanced detail and a few tweaks.
Hope they'll make sure reimagined and more details of TOS Constitution into modernize as this...(if the SNW Constitution is phase II of 2245 constitution as assume)
Currently the enterprise is version of constitution 2257 but also it needs to make consistency for TOS after the series!

@@huntarius-geraldo-giffarius i know where it's from, it's just completely the wrong music to use. Nothing exciting or actiony is happening yet the score implies something like the pod racing from phantom menace is happening.
IDK ppl think the TOS shit needs "Redesign", its perfect the way it is....Whats with STD crowd thinking TOS needs a revamp....leave it the fuck alone!
