Nate I would be so appreciative if you have an old dsm dsmx /spektrum radio that you no longer want I would love to buy it from you nate I'm lost as to what radio I wanna get with jumper releasing the t14 I like but then the t20s is the gamer style that I love and it's so hard to find the right radio lol
Nate, It was me who commented on about flips and rolls should be axle. Have you utilized an rc simulator for helicopters flight? Simulators are valuable tool to gain muscle memory and flight feel. Many simulators also have training tools. I used simulator for week practicing flips and rolls and upside down hovering before doing it on a real model. Simulators save you time and grief of a crash. Also, you should be practicing learning to do bank turns and circles in both directions just like you would an airplane . Safe will not allow you to do a proper bank turns.
Here’s what you need to do quit trying to do flips, loops, rolls. Practice your orientations in every direction. You should be able to take that helicopter up right and do anything and everything you would like to do figure 8 left and figure 8 right stall turns left and right circuits left and right once you master that then warm it backwards once you do that then start morning to hover, inverted and do it all over again upside down. If you just jump into flips and rolls you will never learn the right way and you will always have spots or orientations that you cannot control the helicopter and cause crashes.
That makes perfect sense honestly! To do all of those maneuvers inverted scares me a bit, but I’m up for the challenge. Thanks for the feedback!! 🙏💯😎⚓️
Gotcha. I'm going to do the same. I do pretty well on RC planes but I'm about Nate's skill level on the Heli. What is a Stall Turn? Maybe someone can explain a stall turn pls?
@@TheRcSaylors When you are in safe you can't do bank turns. Practice doing circles in both direction without safe. Safe is giving you bad habits and not giving you confidence. 3 words, simulator, simulator, simulator . That is how you gain muscle memory.
I can’t believe you bought a new helicopter over a bent tail boom. Lol. Oh and no surprise the spectrum smart battery killed itself. That doesn’t happen with normal lipos btw.
Congratulations that you did the flip using negative collective pitch (throttle stick down in idle up modes) and most of all that you did not swith back to safe or stability mode right after doing the flip! Thats a big and important step and it's much safer in my experience than switching off and on safe mode right after a new maneuver. Now you begin to get real control and begin slowly to get used to negative collective pitch which in inverted flight provides upwards lifting thrust. Great! You are doing really good and from now on you will progress. I recommend to try it now with newer direct drive helis from OMP or Eachine. They are in a totally diffent league and make everything much easier! Best greetings from Poland!!
What OMP would you recommend someone about Nate's skill level? I can't believe they have negative pitch now, that's crazy. I've got a couple older Blade 120's
@@HciContractor Hi! All OMPhobby helis, from the smallest M1 EVO over M2 EVO and the M4 up to the biggest M7 are fully capable 3D helis. I would recommend the OMP M2 EVO for someone with Nates skill level. With idle up modes (flat throttle curves with constant RPM) you can adjust the positive and negative collective pitch as you prefer and need for your flying style in your transmitter and flightcontroller. You find many videos on my small channel "RC Copter Love" about the M1, M2 and M4. The M7 is a number too big for me! I hope this helps and happy flights!!
When you did the first video of this 230s heli i went out and got the same one, spend 2 years learning to fly and got very good, i was at the same stage Nate is at where i would gain height and turn the safe off and do rolls n flips then turn safe back on, i was getting very good, can almost leave the safe off now after doing a roll or flip but think the esc is now faulty (had a few crashes, lol) But want to thank you for introducing me to flying my first helicopter.
So many TH-camrs think they're learning 3D by trying something and then quicking snapping it into safe. Helicopters are about orientation and 3D is like the next level to mastering every possible angle the model can be in. Some of these TH-cam heli pilots have been flying for 20+ years.
100% agree. Using safe to learn is very bad habit. Newbies should be learning from experienced rc helicopter pilot. John Salt's site teaches rc helicopter flying . Flying collective pitch is about confidence and muscle memory.

I have been watching since you had 3k subs or even less and i really love your videos But please don't throw them back i wish i was near to take 1 plane lol but im in Lebanon and i can't afford one but you can look for someone interested and give them one
When you put that helicopter in 3D mode it goes from basically a fixed pitch to a collective pitch helicopter meaning now your throttle isn’t controlling the motor rpm it’s just controlling the pitch of the main blades so inverted you can climb or descend in altitude in safe it acts as a fixed pitch heli more throttle or motor rpm makes you go higher 3D mode is a fixed 100 percent head speed your just controlling the main blades
All 3D mode does is giving you more negative collective range and fixed head speed. It depends on the programming of the throttle curve and the collective curve.
Just built this winter, waiting on better weather to maiden. Hence, the foreseen need for parts, lol. I'm happy to record and report. Love the channel. Keep up the awesome work!
ALL U 3d Trolls, We All Have our Way to fly. . Im a Fun Loving old 65yo That Respects keeping it in prespectative,,Get back with Me when uve the followers Numbers as Nate an The Mrs.'s
You can never have enough, much less to many planes. And Nate? SMH, stop it! If you are flying a fixed pitch toy helicopter you use throttle to control elevation. If you are flying collective pitch helis, you may use throttle to spool the rotor up and lift off. Once you switch to flight mode, you are no longer controlling throttle with the left stick. The governor is maintaining head speed and you are controlling blade pitch. Push up for positive pitch and climb, down for negative pitch and sink. Until you are inverted. Then negative pitch will push you up. But stop calling it "throttle down"! If you did reduce throttle while rolling or flipping you would not be able to return to hover because the head speed would be to low.
Hey Nate, looks like triple flip is safer than double haha nice! I'm learning more about the plane world and wanted to dip my toes into some jets. If you're looking to sell any at a lower budget price of 200$ Ide like to take one off of your hands. I could share my email or Instagram if your interested Cheers!

Wrong and wrong.
Nope and nope
👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏼❤🚁
Pick 5 and do a hat draw. That futaba jet can go
Fw190a needs to go.....to me for parts for my fpv fw190a lolol
Ah man! You almost had me!! Is that easy to land FPV? 🤔⚓️
Just built this winter, waiting on better weather to maiden. Hence, the foreseen need for parts, lol. I'm happy to record and report. Love the channel. Keep up the awesome work!

I'll take anything you want to separate your self from. I'd love to try flying. But can't afford it. I'm retired and on a pentchen.
Count your Blessings! When I worked at UPS, they took away everyone’s pensions in my position and above! So sad! I’ll never get to retire 😢💯⚓️
That's why I got 2 incitement to help get into the car battery and hidrow power.

!Ill take whatever you want to sell
Only real trouble is shipping 😢💯⚓️
Sell the husky
Hey Nate, looks like triple flip is safer than double haha nice! I'm learning more about the plane world and wanted to dip my toes into some jets. If you're looking to sell any at a lower budget price of 200$ Ide like to take one off of your hands. I could share my email or Instagram if your interested Cheers!
